In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your
sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old
men will dream dreams. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour
out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy. (Acts 2:17–18)
As a people on mission, we often forget that we are not on this journey
alone. Long before we arrived, God made plans to send His Spirit as a
helper for those who believe in Him. However, how that help manifests
itself is often left to the willingness of God’s people. For though we are
given a great gift in the Holy Spirit, few of us seem to be taking

In a country were the American dream is preached more fervently than the
gospel, it can be easy for Christians to get sucked into the mentality that
our life’s purpose can be found in a job, a well built 401k, or in the
perfect political platform. However, Christ has made it clear that the life
of a true disciple will not be driven by the number of dollars in their
bank account, but by number of souls that are still waiting to be welcomed
into His kingdom.
