As we continue our new series, Revive Us Again, we will explore one of the clearest examples of spiritual awakening in the Old Testament. Through the ministry of Ezra, God brought renewal to His people when the Word of God was once again placed at the center. Ezra demonstrated a true heart for God's Word as he studied it, obeyed it, and taught it to others. What followed was an incredible transformation of lives, first on a personal level and then throughout the nation.

“Revival is a community saturated with God.” That is how Pastor Duncan Campbell described revival as he witnessed the powerful movement of God during the Hebrides Revival in Scotland during the mid-twentieth century. As our nation approaches its 250th birthday, many people are reflecting on our history and considering the future. For Christians, it is also an opportunity to recognize our deep need for spiritual awakening. Over the next six weeks, we will examine several biblical accounts of revival and spiritual renewal as we ask the Lord to Revive Us Again.

While revival cannot be manufactured by human effort, God's people can humbly seek Him, repent of sin, and position themselves to receive what only He can provide. In this message, we begin by considering the prayer of Psalm 85:6, “Will you not revive us again so that your people may rejoice in you?”

Psalm 23 is one of the most treasured passages of Scripture. It has been said, “In these lines sailors have found a harbor, the frightened have found a father, and strugglers have found a friend.” In a world filled with fear, confusion, exhaustion, and spiritual wandering, Psalm 23 describes the Lord as a Shepherd. Let us be reminded that we have a Shepherd Who faithfully provides for us through every season of life.

A good start is admirable, but isn’t a faithful finish the real goal? In a world marked by exhaustion, discouragement, and distraction, how do believers endure faithfully to the finish line? Hebrews 12 encourages us to fix our eyes on the ultimate example of endurance, our Lord Jesus Christ. In this message, we consider how Christ empowers weary believers to persevere in faith and run the race God has set before us!

As we celebrate our graduating seniors, Pastor Tim encourages us with the words of Paul to Timothy, to "continue in what you know." During seasons of transition and challenge, we can rely on the truths we've learned from God's word in order to continue to live well for our King, no matter where He may lead us.

It has been said that the Gospel is always one generation from extinction. It reminds us that faith in Christ must be personally received. As we gather this Sunday on Mother’s Day, we will participate in a Parent and Baby Dedication, praying for God’s work in the lives of the youngest generation. We will open the Word together and consider the example of family discipleship in the life of Timothy, as described in 2 Timothy 1.

It’s one thing to begin a project with enthusiasm, but fervor alone doesn’t guarantee completion. How many goals in life remain incomplete? As we come to the last week in our series through 1 Thessalonians, we are reminded that our spiritual lives are not ultimately dependent on our own abilities. In these final verses, we see the powerful truth that the God who calls us is the One who brings His work in us to completion.

What priorities shape your life? How do they impact your relationships and decisions? As we continue our journey through 1 Thessalonians, we will explore how the certainty of the Lord’s return impacts our horizontal relationships with others and our vertical walk with God. From cultivating peace, patience, and encouragement within the church family to pursuing discernment and devotion through God’s Word, this passage calls us to live with clarity and purpose in a confused world.

As we continue our series in 1 Thessalonians, the theme of Christ's Return carries into chapter 5, which speaks of the Day of the Lord. We will see that God’s Word calls us to live alert in light of His return. In this passage, we discover how the promise of that coming day strengthens our faith, shapes our lives, and steadies our hearts with unshakable hope!

In our journey through the book of 1 Thessalonians, we will see how the resurrection of Jesus connects to some very important topics. We will be reminded that Jesus is coming again and that His return reshapes how we face grief, fear, and the future.
