Romans 8:26-39. The Spirit supports us in prayer and our suffering is not meaningless. God the Father finishes the good things he has started in us.

We are not simply free from the condemnation of sin, as glorious as that is. We have the promise that the trials and difficulties we face are temporary; we will one day be resurrected to be with Jesus, and restored to what we were originally intended to be.

The Holy Spirit strengthens, helps, and comforts us as we follow Jesus. We must walk in the Spirit’s power rather than our own.

Grace gives us from FROM sin, not freedom TO sin.

What’s one of the biggest steps of faith you have ever taken? The Gospel speaks to those fears or doubts that hold you back.

Romans 4:1-17 teaches that what pleases God is faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus rather than our own efforts to impress Him. When we understand this, we are truly free to love and obey God from a pure heart.

Instead of finding our righteousness in our self-made systems, all humans can be made right with God, be freed from our sin, and escape the wrath that is due to us simply by putting our faith in Jesus Christ.
