Pastor Josh begins our series on Malachi. Malachi was sent to preach to a people who had grown bitter, cynical, thankless, and selfish as they waited for God's promises to come true. Today we often find ourselves in a similar place, frustrated that God hasn't given us what we wanted, and worshiping him without engaged hearts. But in Malachi 1:1-5, we learn that the first word God speaks to his ungrateful people, to us, is Love. He tells us that he has loved us with a special, eternal, electing love.
