  • FR EP #306 How To Find a Quality Man with Lisa Copeland
Today on Feminine Roadmap we’re talking about finding a quality man in midlife with dating expert Lisa Copeland. Lisa shows women how to feel joyful, confident and empowered in the dating world. Her mission is to help midlife women to stop struggling with dating and find a quality man. One of the key elements she talks about is confidence, knowing yourself, what you want and what you bring to the table. Lisa walks you through important steps to be able to show up as the best, authentic version of yourself so that you do not repeat history. The reality is that people tend to get used to a “type” of mate and it isn’t really good for them. So what she does is help women to identify what their old type is then begin to shift to a new, more aligned type of man. What makes that challenging is what we find comfortable or more accurately, who we find comfortable. The next step is being willing to be uncomfortable as we address old habits and patterns so we can have a different relationship experience. But Lisa cautions women not to have on their hunting cap to find a man, instead to shift their mind to meeting new people, enjoying experiences and just having fun. So ladies, take the time to work on yourself, take care of your own needs, value who you are and what you offer. Next, grab a cuppa something wonderful and listen to this episode chock full of insights to help you find a quality man.

  • FR Ep #305 Flexibility isYour Midlife Superpower with Shannon Grissom
Today on Feminine Roadmap guest Shannon Grissom talks about how flexibility is your midlife superpower. Shannon has had three major events disrupt her midlife which helped her to realize the key to thriving was to stay flexible. She firmly believes that you can follow your dreams while in the middle of all that life throws at you. While it may change the way you thought it would look or how it would happen, she encourages listeners to stay their course. One of the key shifts that can help is to move from judgement to intuition. Check in with yourself and ask how you really feel instead of just powering through. It’s important to recognize your limits, set boundaries, and honor yourself. Another valuable shift is to consider what you have always wanted to try the just make a decision and do it! We are not obligated to stay on one path for our whole lives so be brave and make a change. Don’t be afraid to switch gears and ask yourself, what’s next? Midlife is a time to tap into our superpower of flexibility and being willing to change paths, experience new things. • FR Ep #304 Tales From an Untamed Soul with Alise Saunders
Today on Feminine Roadmap we are getting inspired by tales from an untamed soul, Alise Saunders. Alise shares her journey from overworked, stressed corporate worker to digital nomad. Between her loss of joy and her loss of health, she decided she had to make a change. She encourages listeners to stop waiting for this magical moment to finally start living the life you dream of. Today on Feminine Roadmap we are talking about Soul Blazing, a life changing method of personal transformation with Lisa Haisha. Lisa is a transformational coach and speaker whose passion is to help people identify and understand the stories they tell about themselves. She believes that the masks we wear come from a desire to fit in or protect ourselves. The process of soul blazing is to dig deep into the emotional heart to clear the obstacles that are preventing you from being all that you can be. She shares ways that you can begin to take that journey of clearing the emotional clutter, the mental roadblocks and the habits that keep us stuck. As women we are often taught to stay small, not draw attention to ourselves, and put others first always. In this conversation we talk about how midlife is the time to find balance between others and ourselves, to know who we are now and how we want to show up in the world. It’s easy for us to continue to fill a role but is it really resonating with your soul? Now is the time to stop comparing ourselves with others, to stand in our own worth and value. • FR Ep #302 How to Gain Financial Literacy with Marci Grossman
Today on Feminine Roadmap guest Marci Grossman gives us strategies on how to gain financial literacy. Marci is a CPA and Financial Literacy educator who believes that everyone can understand and master their money. In this episode she shares simple strategies to help you gain not only financial literacy but financial confidence. Since finances are not a life skill that is taught in school, she saw the need for finances to be taught in a simple and accessible way. While money is often a huge stressor in relationships, she believes that as we learn to communicate our ideas about money, we can virtually eliminate that issue. She does address how our beliefs around money are a big piece of that puzzle. For most of us, our money story began in childhood as we watched (or heard) our parents deal with money. We picked those ideas up, interpreted them and carried them well into our adulthood. If our experiences were stressful and limiting or joyful and abundant, they influence how we feel about money. Marci reminds listeners that money is just a tool and by talking openly about finances, sharing our beliefs and working toward a common financial goal with our partner, we relieve the stress. Often wealth means different things to different people so by laying everything out, goals, income, assets and liabilities, we begin to see where we are so we can plan where we are going. If you could use a little support, encouragement and helpful strategies, look no further. Grab a cuppa something wonderful and join us.

  • FR Ep #301 How Writing Helped Reframe Midlife with Michelle Davis
Today on Feminine Roadmap we’re talking about how writing helped reframe midlife for my guest Michelle Davis. Michelle started her journey of writing after both she and her husband had back to back life-changing health issues arise. That ultimate gut check sent her on a journey that has lead to being an author and moving across the country with her husband. Michelle had lived, gone to school and worked in the same area she was born, she married her sweetheart, life was good, nothing was necessarily out of order. But after they went through their health shifts- her breast cancer diagnosis and his heart bypass surgery- she began to wonder how her life might be more. She found herself considering what she could do, being curious about what now? She asked herself what is more? How do find it and shift who she was? How could she show up in the world in midlife? One of the shifts that happened was recognizing the stories she had held, fears she had, and learning to let go of those. She evaluated what she could and could not control then learned to step away and allow. Michelle took to writing fiction that helped her see the world through another’s eyes and in that, she expanded her own. If you find yourself feeling that sense of what’s next for you, this episode is a lighthouse to help you find your own way. Grab a cuppa something wonderful and let’s spend some time together reframing midlife.

Today on Feminine Roadmap we are talking about how to transform your marriage with Theresa DeWit. Theresa is on a mission to help restore 1 million marriages by reducing divorce rates. She wants to help women to give love a chance, to keep families strong and not broken. Theresa wants women to know that they can transform their marriages and not become a statistic. The results of that process lead her to write a book with her own children in mind. She likens marriage to having a lawn and thinking the grass is greener elsewhere. She contends that the grass isn’t necessarily greener in someone else’s yard but if we were to fertilize the yard we have, it would grow healthier. She encourages listeners to take the time and energy to transform their marriages one action, decision and day at a time. She shares great ideas to help kick start this restoration journey like reliving first dates, taking a staycation and having fun. Today on Feminine Roadmap we are talking about finding joy and purpose after retirement. When Lee Gale Gruen retired after a 37 year career as a probation officer, she felt adrift. • FR Ep #297 How to Be Proactive in Aging with Dr Lynn Anderson
Today on Feminine Roadmap we are talking about how to be proactive in the aging process with Dr. Lynn Anderson. Lynn is a naturopath, nutritional therapist and pro-aging fitness instructor. Her philosophy is that when we build a strong foundation with the three pillars of health, we are able to age well. The three pillars that we build healthy aging on are nutrition, fitness and sleep. Lynn contends that if one of those is missing then we have built a shaky foundation, So in order to be proactive in the aging process, we need to tune in to what our bodies need in those three key areas. When she speaks of nutrition, she encompasses what we take in not only nutritionally but mentally. Our bodies need nutrients to function and just the same, our minds need to be fed well. The impact of how and what we choose to think is a key component to being proactive in the aging process. Shifting our perspective to better balance in our thoughts, with regular movement, and good nutrition leads to better living and sleep. As life happens and storms come, that consistent focus on balance helps us to be more flexible which in turn enables graceful aging. Since we start aging from the day we’re born, there’s never a bad time to get these things into balance. Grab a cuppa something wonderful and join us for strategies to become more proactive in your aging process.
