We take a walk through the Book of Proverbs to prove it is primarily addressed to young adults. And this alone proves the great responsibility parents and grandparents have to exhort, command, admonish, reprove and guide adult children and grandchildren. It is past time for the widening "generation gap" to be closed. For decades, young adults have been largely thrown blindly into the fires of temptation and destruction as parents wash their hands as Pilate, exclaiming "I am not my child's keeper now that he (or she) 'of age!'" This sermon also answers the avalanche of worldly objections that this sermon description will likely bring to the minds of many.

A biblical vision of godly femininity is rooted in modesty, self-control, and spiritual beauty, emphasizing that true adornment lies not in external appearances or worldly standards of fashion and wealth, but in the inward character of a woman who lives out her faith through good works. From 1 Timothy 2:9–10 and parallel passages in 1 Peter and Isaiah, we are warned against the dangers of pride, vanity, and misplaced priorities—whether through extravagant attire, excessive focus on physical beauty, or cultural pressures to conform to fleeting ideals. God values the heart over the outward form and calls women to pursue the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, demonstrated through humility, service, and godly conduct. Both women and men are called to reject worldly standards and instead cultivate a deeper, lasting beauty that honors God and fosters genuine community.

What does it actually look like for a church to move toward women with the good news of Jesus without swinging left into egalitarianism or right into a cold, avoidant piety?
