Mam wld get me to sing these country western songs at weddings...they were not exactly floor fillers. My dad used to make me recreate scenes from 'Into The West' for all his mates when they were having a few drinks. He thought it was the funniest thing ever.

I used to write little stories when I was a kid. I thought they were great and so did my parents....but I'm pretty sure all their friends did not enjoy me reading CHAPTERS AND CHAPTERS of my stories to them :joy:

Ferg my mum's family are from England and to embarrass the hell out of me and make herself look good she got me to say the Our Father and the Hail Mary in Irish in front of all my aunts uncles and cousins. I was 14 at the time. Morto. Sue in Leitrim.

Hi Fergal, my party piece is I have a very loud clap. When we go out and get going my clap carries over the bar or club and everyone talking. I've tried various decibels apps but none work accurately. Barry from Tyrone Barry

They are headlining The Olympia Theatre in Dublin this weekend - ahead of their massive gig guitarist and vocalist Kieran McGuinness from The Delorentos popped into Fergal.

He spoke about their new single 'SOS' and their second album 'True Surrender', which went to number one in the Irish independent charts. McGuinness said that their new style means their songs "aren't as simplistic as they used to be but they connect with people on a deeper level".

While cooking over the weekend Fergal discovered something that blew his mind....the utensil which he thought was for scooping out pasta is also used to measure portions of pasta!!

Turns out there are lots of everyday things that you don't know the true purpose for - Steve brought our attention to what the ring on a fizzy drink can is for and Dawn blew our minds with the real purpose of a tin foil box!

Fergal witnessed a builder getting in trouble today for messing on a building site. He made several things fall and got in trouble from the boss.

It got him thinking about how there is always one person in a workplace or family that is the clumsy one. If you can't think who it is, it's you!

Well it turns out that many of Ferg's listeners are seriously clutsy.... Laura has to bring a spare shirt into work as she spills her coffee so much...

and Kenneth's story about red win being spilt on his boss's carpet has to be heard to be believed!

Emma from Cork got in touch with The Fergal D'Arcy Show today.

She went away for a few days and came home to discover her boyfriend had shaved off his lumberjack beard. She said she had absolutely no warning and was pretty annoyed about the whole thing. 

Fergal asked his listeners if they agreed with Emma, or should she just cop on! We got some pretty strong opinions.

Stephanie Rainey is headlining Whelans in Dublin this Saturday 3rd November. She popped in to see Ferg ahead of her big gig - they chatted about her new track 'Shadows' with producer GK, dealing with her anxiety through her music and her upcoming tour around the country.

It is that time of year, Halloween is around the corner and Fergal got thinking about the things we make ourselves scared of, that aren't actually scary!

So it turns out most of us have convinced ourselves that random furniture or objects in our house become terrifying monsters after dark.....like Laura and her washing basket or Niamh and her furry pen!

Do you complain if your food is a let down?!

So Fergal got a breakfast roll this morning and the deli worker gave him a ridiculous amount of ketchup. He knew it would be awful. But said..absolutely nothing.  

He asked listeners if they would be in his camp? It turns out most of us are really, really bad at complaining!!
