Trying to conceive, carrying a child, giving birth, raising a child…all of this is hard work. We see the physical differences in mothers from their expanding bellies to carry their child, to the tired eyes of sleepless nights. However, many of us never witness the mental effects of fertility. One study of 122 women receiving fertility treatments found that 40% experienced anxiety, depression, or both.
