Hawthorn practices spiritual work under the umbrella of neo-paganism, or earth ritual and I am totally nerding out on the similarities between their practice with my own shamanic work.

I am delighted to share a conversation with Scott, whom I met through a FB group I enjoy very much: The Melbourne Salon - Over 50s Ethical Non-Monogamy. Although this group isn’t focused on kink, there are many people there who are interested in and practice kink and also ENM, or Ethical Non-Monogamy. 

Scott brings an original perspective on a topic I’ve been pondering for a while. Namely how the desire to possess within a power exchange relationship can coexist with ethical non-monogamy. 

His original approach to this conundrum, as well as to many other situations, reminds me that it is useful to step out occasionally from our very specialised kink community. We are all thoughtful people but keeping ourselves to ourselves we often recycle the same ideas making very little progress. Seeing other approaches from people who either occupy a different space or combine various interests in a unique way, gives us the opportunity to question our beliefs that we hold perhaps too tightly. 

I learnt a lot from this conversation and I am delighted to share it with you all.

It is my absolute pleasure to share a conversation with TheShadowSelf in which we talk about hypnosis, among other things. 

But before we do that, I have some exciting news! 

Finally, after almost 2 years of podcasting, Transcendental Kink has a website! It’s been a long time coming, but finally it’s here! 

So what will you find when you head over to Transcendental Kink.com you ask?

First, and most importantly you will find the first book of Transcendental Kink, subtitled – Exploration! Written and narrated by me and available in PDF and EPUB formats for people who like to read and in AUDIO for the ones who prefer listening. 

This book is for people who are awakening to their full potential, regardless of their level of experience or practice. It is based on the subjects raised in the first season, but it has been developing over my entire life of learning, writing, and teaching. It is about the human condition and how to make the best of it. It is about understanding and loving ourselves as a whole person, with every little part included. It is about developing curiosity, playfulness and joy. And ultimately transcendence from the drudgery of everyday life. 

Kink is the vehicle that moves the book from chapter to chapter, but it isn’t its main subject. There are many resources that address the ‘how to’, as in how and where to hit, how and where to bind and how to negotiate a play scene. Transcendental Kink – Exploration looks at larger questions: why do think the way we do, what drives us, why do we want certain things and not others and why do we act in certain patterns. It examines the thought processes that causes our actions and offers ways of looking at ourselves in ways that bring more happiness in the long run.
