Having returned from their encounter at Skellig Michael the party discovered that Bronwyn's baby blanket was taken. This highly personal item can be used to cast certain spells such as scrying and also teleporting directly to Bronwyn. With this development the party must now completely rethink their tactics as they try to stop the followers of Crom Cruach, but also their immediate safety. Was this action by their enemies a prelude to an attack or simply an information gathering exercise? Changes must be made at Ardbraccan House and the party will have to be a lot more careful now as a result of this.

Nyafua and Peadar find themselves facing a werewolf on Skellig Michael while the rest of the party is several kilometres away on the shore of the mainland. Without their friends there to help them how will they fare in this encounter? 

The party travels to Cork to meet with their friend and the lover of Selena, the goblin artificer Miggles. From their they must travel further south to the island of Skellig Michael. The site of an abandoned monastery believed to have been built in the 8th or 9th century the party wish to visit it because according to the records of the elves of the western isles it is the location of the golden idol of Crom Cruach and will be vital for their enemies to complete their ritual to free him from his chains in the Fey Realm.

Bronwyn fills the rest of the party in on her theories regarding their enemies based on the military training she magically received from a magical fey book she had previously read. The party also tries to think of ways to better ensure the idol and book in their possession stays hidden. They also investigate the activities of their former friends in the league of cunning to see if any more of them are acting suspicious. Finally they discuss plans with their druid ally Peadar on traveling to Skellig Michael, a remote, rocky island off the southern coast of Ireland where it is believed the golden idol is being hidden.

Bronwyn's missing maid reappears and a connection to her past is bridged.

The party, now in possession of one of the stone idols as well as the book of rituals written by the medieval cult of Crom Cruach and now getting greatly concerned they may be attacked by their enemies directly as they try to collect all the relics needed to complete their ritual. They start taking watches at night in Ardbraccan House. They also decide to travel to Dublin as Nyafua needs to collect an enchanted item they commissioned and also cause they hope they may get more help from their artificer friend. Finally a secret that has been troubling the party for some time is revealed to Olaf

The party have discovered the location of an ancient tome they have been looking for. This book, written by a cult of Crom Cruach appears to give details on possible rituals to summon him and free him from his prison. It had once belong to an old enemy of their but had disappeared when the party defeated her. It seems it had fallen into the hands of a member of the civil service the party had meet numerous times who is also a member of the league of cunning folk, a strange esoteric group of scholars and occultists the party had become friends with. It appears at least one member of this group may have been working with their enemies and may be part of the group trying to free Crom Cruach. The party must now decide what to do and how quickly to act against this new threat.
