Precept upon precept, line by line reading. Week 41 Torah Portion - Piynechac (Phineas) Numbers 25:10-30:1. Translation: Cepher

(7.23.24)

The Torah portion Pinechas, begins with Yahuah rewarding Pinchas, the grandson of Aaron the High Priest, for his zealous act of killing an Israelite man and a Midianite woman who were publicly defying Yah’s commandments. This act halted a plague that had already killed 24,000 Israelites. Pinchas is granted a covenant of peace and a perpetual priesthood, signifying divine approval of his actions. This section emphasizes the importance of zeal in the service of יהוה and upholding the sanctity of the community.

Following this, יהוה commands Moses and Eleazar, Aaron's son, to conduct a census of the Israelite men over the age of 20. This census is significant as it accounts for the new generation of Israelites who will enter the Promised Land, given that the previous generation perished in the wilderness due to their disobedience. The detailed enumeration also serves to allocate portions of the land to the tribes according to their population size. Additionally, the daughters of Zelophehad appeal to Moses to inherit their father's portion as he had no sons, leading to a landmark ruling that daughters could inherit if there were no sons, setting a precedent in Israelite inheritance laws.

The portion concludes with instructions regarding daily offerings and additional offerings for the Sabbath and festivals. This section outlines the sacrificial system to be observed in the Promised Land, ensuring that the Israelites maintain their religious obligations and worship practices. These offerings underscore the continuity of worship and the centrality of the Temple in Israelite religious life, reinforcing the themes of devotion and obedience to יהוה commandments.

Good morning beloved family and blessings ! Yahuah has woke us at His will and delight! He calls us His peculiar treasures! We belong to Him! HalleluYah! Share your light with someone who needs it! Forgive that person who needs forgiveness and apologize to anyone who needs one without any expectation of reciprocal action. Do these because Yahuah and Yahusha say so and set yourself free from those emotional chains! Walk as a free man or woman ! HalleluYah! That's what forgiveness does, it sets you free!

Yahuah, thank you for the forgiveness Yahusha gave to us through His sacrifice! He forgave us and loved us first so we choose to love Him, and you, Yahuah! Your love is mercy! Our love for you is obedience! 

We praise you Yahuah with hands raised and hearts bowed. In all your power and might you still want us as your children! Through our disobedience you lovingly chastise and correct us because you don't want to lose one of us. Father, you give us opportunity to course correct every morning you wake us with your promise of mercies made new. Yahuah, we choose you, for you are enough. We want to please you, for only you are good. We praise the love of Yahusha Ha'Mashiach, who saw each of our faces as he breathed His last breath, and spoke His last words,"It is finished." He paid our death sentence as His blood, water, and Ruach poured out upon us! The tears fall like rain in remembrance of this gift of salvation! Living water fall on me and give me a right Ruach! Remove any emotions or fleshly remnants that might prevent this! Strip me bare so I can be clothed in white linen. HalleluYah for the Risen Son, Yahusha Ha'Mashiach, King of Kings, Prince of Peace! 

We lift all brothers and sisters here and in the body of Yahusha, and in all called out assemblies all over the world, and ask for your healing hands upon all! We all cry out for your healing in one way or another but if your plan is not to heal, not to remove the difficulty, or its not time yet, then strengthen us so we can endure. Give us fortitude to smile and just keep walking, just keep sharing your words and truth, just keep going! Oh Yahuah, thank you, thank you, for all you provide! Thank you for blessings that abound! Thank you for the breath in our lungs and the beating of our hearts! You are enough! We will keep praising and praying, in the meantime! In your glorious name Yahuah and in the beautiful name of our Yeshu'ah, Yahusha Ha'Mashiach, with reverence of the Ruach Ha'Qodesh, we pray, let it be so, and LET YOUR KINGDOM COME!! AMEIN, AMEIN, AMEIN!

Happy prep day blessings to everyone! Praise Yahuah for this day! Great are His mercies and wonderful are His works! 

Yahuah, thank you for everything that you provide. We raise our hands in praise and bow our hearts in reverence to you and all of your ways. Father, there is so much about you and this world we live in that is a mystery to us. There are things unseen by our human eyes and a reality just behind the veil of our understanding. Father, help us to stop limiting ourselves from seeking more of you and less of the distractions of this world. Open our eyes further to see deeper into your Word that became flesh to pierce the darkness with the light of heaven! The Word that gave water from a rock in the wilderness that gives us water in this spiritual wilderness. Yahusha Ha'Mashiach! Wash the scales from our eyes so we see with eyes you want us to have. Eyes that see Yahusha in all people. Give us your understanding and increase our knowledge of your Way, Truth, and Life so the we may speak clearly and concisely for others to hear! Mold us and make us what you will. I pray we exhibit zealous faith and belief in your perfect plan for all of your creation. I pray for a fiery faith that lights up even the darkest of days as a beacon for all who have questions and need directions to the narrow path. Here we are Father, send us, use us. 

We lift all brothers and sisters who are struggling with all manner of illness (mind, body, spirit), any and all spiritual attacks or witchcraft spoken against any of us we rebuke and ask tongues be held and arrows fall where the start, we claim salvation and protection in Yahusha Ha'Mashiach our city of refuge, provide all needs that you already know of and we believe are working on, we praise you and thank you in the meantime, in your name Yahuah and in Yahusha Ha'Mashiach name we pray Amein!

The Book of Sirach, also known as Ecclesiasticus, is a collection of ethical teachings from around 200-175 BCE, authored by Yeshua ben Sira. It is one of the seven wisdom books in the Septuagint, along with Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Song of Solomon, Job, and Wisdom of Solomon. As a deuterocanonical book, it is part of the Apocrypha. Sirach emphasizes wisdom, moral conduct, and the importance of following the Torah. It addresses various themes such as humility, friendship, family life, and the pursuit of wisdom, drawing heavily from earlier biblical texts, particularly Proverbs. The book also praises the heroes of Hebrew history, highlighting their faith and virtue. Sirach aims to provide practical advice for living a righteous life and fostering a strong community.

Precept upon precept, line by line reading. Week 40 Torah Portion - Balaq (Devastator) Numbers 22:2-25:9. Translation: Cepher   

(7.16.24)

The Torah portion Balak, tells the story of Balak, the king of Moab, and his efforts to curse the Israelites as they journey through the wilderness. Concerned about the growing strength of the Israelites, Balak seeks the help of Balaam, a renowned sorcerer, to curse them and halt their progress.

Balak sends messengers to Balaam with offers of wealth and honor if he agrees to curse the Israelites. Initially, Balaam seeks Yah's guidance and is told not to go. However, after repeated entreaties and promises of greater rewards, Balaam is given permission to go, but with strict instructions to speak only what Yah tells him.

On his journey, Balaam's donkey sees an angel of Yah blocking their path and refuses to proceed. After Balaam strikes the donkey three times, Yahuah opens the donkey's mouth, and it speaks to Balaam, revealing the presence of the angel. Balaam's eyes are then opened, and he sees the angel, who reiterates that he must only say what Yahuah commands.

When Balaam finally meets Balak, he attempts to curse the Israelites but is instead compelled by Yahuah to bless them three times. Frustrated and angry, Balak dismisses Balaam without the promised reward. Despite this, Balaam prophesies the future downfall of Moab and other nations.

The portion concludes with the Israelites succumbing to the seductions of Moabite women and engaging in idolatry. This leads to a plague that kills 24,000 Israelites, which is only halted by the zealous actions of Phinehas, who executes an Israelite man and a Midianite woman engaged in blatant immorality. This decisive act restores order and earns Phinehas a covenant of peace from Yahuah.

Balak highlights themes of divine sovereignty, the futility of opposing Yah's will, and the consequences of moral and spiritual lapses. It emphasizes that Yah's blessings cannot be undone by human machinations and underscores the importance of faithfulness and integrity among the Israelites.
