Shounen - a genre of Japanese comics and animated films aimed primarily at a young male audience, typically characterized by action-filled plots.

Shoujo - a genre of Japanese comics and animated films aimed primarily at a young female audience, typically characterized by a focus on personal and romantic relationships.

Mangaka - a person who creates manga.

Hentai - a genre of Japanese manga and anime characterized by overtly sexualized characters and sexually explicit images and plots.

Ahegao - a term in Japanese pornography for a facial expression of characters (usually women) during sex, typically with rolling or crossed eyes, protruding tongue, and slightly reddened face, to show enjoyment or ecstasy.

Isekai - a genre of speculative fiction—both portal fantasy and science fiction are included.

Harem - a story where the protagonist is surrounded by three or more suitors, love interests, and/or sexual partners.

Reverse- Harem - the same thing but where the love interests are men

sub/dub - subbed anime is when the voiceover is in Japanese and the subtitles are in the viewer's preferred language. Conversely, dubbed anime is when the voiceover is in the viewer's preferred language
