On this week's episode we recap the 2025 Rom-Com Oh, Hi! Starring Molly Gordon, Logan Lerman and Geraldine Viswanathan. This movie is a cautionary tale of why, as a man, you need to think before you act and keep yourself safe. Taking a girl on a romantic weekend away and then telling her that you're not really looking for a relationship is, statistically, the #1 cause of men being held hostage by their 'not girlfriend' at a lake house. Take notes bros, stay safe out there. 

This book to movie adaptation was a wild wide for us. Starring Keira Knightly, James McAvoy and Saoirse Ronan, we took two very different stances in this recap- was Briony a confused child, filling in gaps based on limited knowledge while trying to do the right thing? Or was Briony a little psychopath who got mad that her crush was smashing her sister, so she ruined his life? Regardless of the reason, we agreed on one thing- there is no excuse for that ending and we will be writing a letter. 

Some people may say its cheesy, its cliche, its predictable. To that, we say 'yes, please. Thank you'. This weeks deep dive starring Miranda Cosgrove and Pierson Fode is ALL of those things and we love it. Dawn, an oldest daughter daughter and artist, just needed to get to Paris, France for art school. But she's just a waitress and can't afford the ticket. The answer is not student loans. The answer is obviously to become a contestant on a dating show in Paris. Duh. Its like girl math, but with your future and education instead of a purse. 

This week we recap the 1999 Rom-Com, starring Drew Barrymore, David Arquette and Michael Vartan. We have some questions that our younger selves maybe didn't. Sure, Josie WAS an adult and not fooling anyone with her get up. But... Sam still believed she was underage.... Its weird guys. Not to mention, Josie was awful to her brother. Despite that, he still took the time to check in on her mental state before telling her off. And that's on emotional maturity. 

This 2004 Rom-Com starring Katie Holmes and Marc Blucas is so cozy, a reminder of a simpler time when political scandals were simple underage drinking and affairs with the Secret Service had the nation clutching it's pearls. Those were really the days. 

Starring Aubrey Plaza, Maisy Stella and Percy Hynes White this 2024 dramadey/coming of age film gives us insight to what happens when you take shrooms. Apparently, you either hallucinate...or defy the laws of time and space (but time is a flat circle and space has no friction...so who are we to judge?) and meet your older self. An older self who doesn't answer questions, doesn't give you any insight to your future and only gives you vague warnings that don't make sense. 

In honor of Hilary Duff's upcoming tour (Court has tickets), lets take a breather with this sweet, sweet Nostalgia. There were two kinds of girls in the early 2000's: the ones sneaking out and smoking cigarettes behind 7/11 and the ones who watched the Lizzie McGuire. Then there's us, as adults, rewatching it, in HORROR. Why only one chaperone for 30 kids? Lizzie just trusted Paolo at his word, no background check, not even a cell phone to call for help if things went bad. Just pure, unadulterated millennial trust. Now look at us. 

Ever wonder what it would be like to have a threesome and knock both girls up? We hadn't either. But this movie, starring Zoey Deutch, Jonah Hauer-King and Ruby Cruz tells us exactly how that scenario plays out, so we don't have to do it. Its baby mama drama... times two. Drama with you, drama between them, THE FAMILY drama of explaining the whole ordeal to everyone. THE DREAD OF EXPLAINING TO YOU CHILDREN WHEN THEY GET OLDER THAT DADDY DIDN'T CHEAT, YA'LL ARE JUST FREAKY. 

A fresh 2026, book to screen Rom Com, based on the novel by Emily Henry, starring Emily Bader and Tom Blyth (YES, President Snow, but as a brunette). This little snack features a couple that lies to themselves for years that they're not in love, while they date and almost marry other people because they're too stubborn to admit that they like each other. Not gonna lie, sometimes things can be good for just the DRAMA of it all. And this is DRAMA. 

Starring Robin Williams and Sally Field, we take it WAY back with this....delightful, yet creepy family film. As children, we were on Robin Williams' side, Sally was a buzz kill. As adults and mother's, HE HAD FARM ANIMALS IN MY HOUSE FOR A PARTY I SAID WASN'T HAPPENING. To him, the divorce came out of nowhere. To her, this was the final straw on a heaping pile of straws. Let's not forget that those poor kids are gonna need a shit ton of therapy. Not because they saw their dad dressed like a woman- who hasn't- but because they formed a relationship with Mrs. Doubtfire just to learn she was fake.
