  • The Cheating Trope Ruined This Book 🚩 | Bound by Honor Review

    Welcome back to Fictional Analysis!

I am your host, Kajal. Today, I am giving a famous mafia romance series a second chance, but unfortunately, it left me incredibly disappointed.

I am reviewing Luca Vitiello, the male POV counterpart to Bound by Honor by Cora Reilly.

In today's episode:Luca is the brutal, dangerous heir to the Famiglia, and Aria is terrified going into their arranged marriage. While I appreciated that Luca gave her time and did not force himself on her, this story introduced a massive red flag that completely ruined the book for me.

Tune in to hear my rant about the dreaded cheating trope, my frustrations with unresolved plotlines and weak villains, and why I had to give this incredibly popular book a harsh 1 out of 5 stars!

    Welcome back to Fictional Analysis!

I am your host, Kajal, and today we are not quite done with the Briar campus yet! I am back to review the entire Briar U series, featuring four brand new couples.

  • Off Campus Review: The Shower Scene, The Breakup & The Real Ending

Welcome back to Fictional Analysis! I am your host, Kajal, and today we are breaking down the major differences between the Off Campus novel and the series adaptation!

    In this episode, we discuss:

    • How Garrett's funny, flirty personality in the book compared to his more serious vibe in the show.

    • The iconic shower scene—which was actually added just for the series!

    • The truth about the Justin storyline, and how Hannah's original group partner was actually a boy named Cass.

    • The massive difference in the ending and the real reason for the breakup: Garrett's father blackmailing Hannah!

Overall, Garrett Graham stole my heart, and I rate both the book and the series a massive 10 out of 5 stars!

    • Tropes I absolutely LOVE: Second-generation series, the "ice cold to everyone but her" hero (looking at you, Alex Volkov), and the chaotic/funny mafia men.

    • Tropes I absolutely HATE: The dreaded miscommunication trope, weak villains that ruin the stakes, and boring insta-love plots with zero tension!
