Matthew 7:12-If I had to guess this morning, I would presume that every family represented in the sanctuary has a set of rules, ground rules, be it stated or unstated, that governs how you relate to or treat each other in the home. The verse we consider this morning is a measuring stick for how we are to conduct ourselves toward others.

Matthew 7:7-11-We come this morning to a very familiar text within the Sermon on the Mount. We need to be reminded that our God is NOT a detached, impersonal cosmic being who cannot and does not respond.

John 11:27-17-The single most important event in human history was the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ. Today we, as the people of God, celebrate that Jesus lives!

Matthew 6:25-34-I think we will find this text particularly helpful this morning. Specifically, Jesus gives us a myriad of reasons why we should not worry.

Matthew 6:19-24-In this potent text, Jesus addresses several principles related to our treasures.

Matthew 6:16-18-In the text for this morning, Jesus offers instruction regarding fasting. Spiritually speaking, fasting is to go without food in order to spend sustained times in prayer in an effort to seek after God.

Matthew 6:14-15-The text before us this morning has the sense of functioning as an addendum to what we have already considered in verse 12.

Matthew 6:13-All of us are vulnerable to temptation. Temptation is a reality of our existence. We need God’s protection and guidance as we face temptation and trial.

Matthew 6:12-Whether we realize it or not, one of the great, great needs we have in our lives today is for forgiveness.

Matthew 6:11- How do you feel about praying for your personal needs? More importantly, what does God think when we pray for our personal needs?
