John 14:4-11- Whether one likes it or not, political correctness is taking over America. By definition, political correctness is an ordinarily pejorative term used to criticize language, actions, or policies as being excessively calculated not to offend or disadvantage any particular group of people in society. However, as you read the gospel accounts of the life of Christ, you become convinced that Jesus had virtually no concern for political correctness. His agenda was not to avoid being offensive to the cultural sensitivities of His day.

John 14:1-3- One of the great grievances among modern Christians is that we do not spend much time thinking about and longing for the Father’s house. The Bible is the ONLY reliable source of information about heaven. Today, we consider words from Jesus regarding the Father’s house of many mansions.

John 13:18-38- Betrayal. It’s a bitter pill. The central theme of this text focuses on the betrayal of Jesus by one of His disciples, Judas Iscariot. As the Gospel writer, John, continues his narrative (v. 18) of the upper room experience, he now moves the reader to one of the most devastating experiences our Lord must have had—His betrayal.

John 13:1-17- This morning we consider one of the most familiar and extraordinary of all the texts we find in the Gospel of John. You know this episode in the life of Christ very well. It is that moment when Jesus dons a towel, carries a water basin, and washes the feet of the disciples.

John 12:35-50- Jesus is the light of the world (John 8:12). Furthermore, Jesus said that His followers are the light of the world (Matthew 5:14). This morning we examine two apparent contrasts which are cleverly connected.

John 12:20-34-The assertion of God’s absolute sovereignty is all over the sacred Scripture. God’s reign is total. God wills as He chooses and carries out all that He wills, and NO ONE can stay His mighty hand or thwart His plans and purposes. The more closely you examine the incredible life of Jesus, the more you notice that nothing which happened in the life of Christ took place by accident or as a course of coincidence. Nothing. Jesus was following a divinely appointed script.

John 12:9-19- As we come to the biblical text this morning, oddly, Jesus is riding into Jerusalem on a donkey and the people are elated with this Jewish carpenter from Nazareth. Expectations are sky high! Jesus embodies the nation’s hopes of a different and better future. But, God’s King was different from the people’s vision.

John 11:45-12:8- On occasion, it is good to reflect on whether or not we are disturbing the world with the Good News. As followers of Jesus Christ, are we pushing back the forces of darkness by making the Light of the world, Jesus Christ, known by what we proclaim and what we live?

2 Timothy 3:1-5- On July 14, 2015 a video recording revealed Dr. Deborah Nucatola, Senior Director of Medical Services for Planned Parenthood, discussing the intentional harvesting of organs and other tissues from babies in Planned Parenthood Clinics. The video was shocking. The Bible makes clear that in the last days there will be terrible times, marked by godless people.

Acts 5:28-29-The intent of the message this morning is to define a clear and present dilemma which will eventually confront all of us, at some point, who bow the knee to Jesus Christ. That dilemma is between obeying government and obeying God. What will we do? How should we respond when facing such a predicament?
