Before we can get into the service of God, we must, of necessity, pass through an examination, which is a proving, probing, testing, inquisition, investigation, and temptation of the individual concerned. How this works and why it is needed is the subject of our discussion.

When many come into the service of God, they presume that God is so badly in need of people to serve Him that He would take just anyone who offers himself to serve. This is not true! God desires to have people who have been sanctified and consecrated serve Him. This notwithstanding, God will not work with people who have bags and baggage from their past, who have not dealt with them via true repentance and restitution; hence, our discussion on dealing with these bags and baggage long before they become full-blown debilitating and destructive venom down the road in His service.

While we are saved to serve God, the real issue is what our service is unto God. You can serve someone, but is the person you are serving happy with the service? In like manner, what is our acceptable service unto God--the service that God is well-pleased with? And this is the discussion that we shall be having in this podcast.

When we were saved through the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross at Calvary, God began investing in us by way of sanctification and consecration. This investment is to bring us to the place of service before the King of kings and the Lord of lords. Thus, our salvation must necessarily lead us to serve God acceptably; otherwise, it is meaningless!
