Fangirling is our favourite activity, and watching our celebrity crushes on screen always wins over our hearts! So, we thought: why not have an entire film season dedicated to our fictional boyfriends?!
Lust: On Screen Crushes is our newest curated collection. But, unlike our other collections, we are going to watch these films with you! Throughout the summer, we will be releasing full film commentaries for each of the works included in the Lust collection. The commentaries will be part of our podcast, Film East Chats, where we will get together and watch a movie live, recording our unfiltered and totally raw reactions to what’s happening on screen. Then YOU can watch the film along with us regardless of where in the world you are!
Here’s how the season works: We will release each episode periodically throughout the summer months. You can join in on the fun by watching along with us whenever and wherever you want. Just press play on the film on your TV or computer when we tell you to start and hear the Film East members' live reactions alongside your own. It’s like having your favourite film nerds right there with you, laughing, gushing and kicking their feet along with you in real time.
Episode 5 is Will's second pick... and the last episode of the season! 😭 Gregg Araki's 1997 cult classic, Nowhere, is definitely our lustiest film of the season, and you know we are just here to live vicariously through gorgeous people doing illicit things... and encountering extraterrestrials!
The Lust season includes:
The Man Who Fell to Earth — 7 June
Withnail and I — 28 June
Paterson — 1 August
Normal People — 8 August
Nowhere — 12 September
