To celebrate the release of Film East's latest book, Queer Projection, Film East and the Norwich Arts Centre hosted a special screening of Tove, a Finish film inspired by the life of the creator of the Moomins, followed by a Q&A with the film's screenwriter, Eeva Putro.
Listen back to our conversation with Eeva and learn more about the influence and creation of this beautiful queer film.
Tove is part of Film East’s PROUD collection — a curated selection of 18 inspiring and uplifting LGBTQIA+ films and TV shows that depict the vast spectrum of queer identities and experiences. This collection is featured in Queer Projections, a new film criticism book that features 16 original articles that range from humorous to serious, philosophical to personal, utilising both classic and contemporary queer masterpieces to discuss how sexuality and gender are portrayed through the visual arts.
