Film Friday

Hello witches and wizards! This week I am joined by Dara once again, but this time we dive into her real favorite movie, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Dara has an intense passion for Harry Potter, having read all the books (multiple times) and basically watching the films any chance she gets. Seriously, she suggests it at least once a week. She is the perfect guest to get into the deep details of the Potter world and why this particular installment keeps her coming back for more and more! Enjoy!

P.S. This episode was recorded in our kitchen so the audio is a little bit of in case you noticed something different.

This week we take a break from our normal shows as I take dive into the 4 year history that is The Snyder Cut. Who would of thought that in 2017 when a lackluster Justice League movie was released that 4 years later we would get a 4 hour epic of that same film, improving on almost every aspect of the original. Join me as I explain the bumpy road this flick took and give a little review of the final product! The Snyder Cut is here!!

This week I am joined by Ross Holohan, and actor from my college days whose now living it up in Sydney! Join us as we deep dive into the much loved Ferris Bueller's Day Off. The film about a lovable rogue just out for the day with his best friend and girlfriend is easily in most peoples top 5. But what is it about the flick that makes us love it? Ferris's charm? Cameron's relate-ability? Sloan's love? Or maybe its all the weird theories I have about it! Tune in to find out!

Well folks what a treat we have for you this week. I welcome back Tino who we had on previously talking about The Lord of The Rings. This time he brings the same same passion except for his other love YU-Gi-OH! Join us as Tino dives into the history and lore of this crazy popular anime, explaining why it means so much to him. Enjoy!

This week I am joined by Katie Larkin, who I am meeting for the very first time on the podcast! Katie works in finance and agreed to come on and answer all my stupid questions and also have a chat about Adam Mckays brilliant social commentary/ disaster film The BIg Short. Join us as we dive deep into the problems that this film shows in our society and also listen to me ask Ktie a billion questions about finance, a world I know noting about enjoy!!!!

Not a clue what to watch? Stuck scrolling for hours without making a decision? Well this week we have a special episode that just might help, I take a look at each streaming service and throw in two shows I think are worth a watch on each.

P.S. Don't worry we will be back to our regular show next week ;)

Hello again! This week I'm incredibly excited to be joined by Chris Corrigan Teacher/Camp Director/Comedian who comes on to talk about Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) ...What a name. Have a listen as we deconstruct what may seem like just another comic book movie and talk about a well crafted story as a piece of feminist literature and postmodern film making it is. We also tell some very cool personal stories, Have a listen this is a episode not to be missed!

P.S. Unfortunately my audio is not the high quality you've come to expect due to some technical difficulties.

Do you like Mermaids? Well this may not be the movie for you ;) This week I am joined by Cait Moloney as we DIVE into Mermaids (1990) A film with mega star Cher and a teenage Winona Ryder. We scrap back this movies bubble gum exterior and talk about the deep darkness that lays underneath. Never having seen this coming of age story I was pleasantly surprised by its gothic and weird alluring vibes. Check it out!
