In this final episode (and first unedited Episode!) of season one I am joined by fan favourite Hartley Akhurst as we chat about 2020 as a whole for ALL screens. She choose a true Christmas classic Elf, the film that all ages can watch, enjoy and cry laughing. This week we have on mitja all the way from Slovenia to talk about the best film you've never seen! Victoria is a 2015 German film (don't worry you don't need subtitles) which was all shot in one take within 2 and a half hours. This feet on its own would be impressive but the fact that it manages this and still delivers and unbelievable story and acting just pushes it into pure masterclass🤙 I kid you not this is what film making now all about

This week I am joined by Kate Noone, who comes on to chat about the hilarious mockumentary What We Do In The Shadows. This New Zealand comedy is hidden gold for anyone who hasn't seen it with ridiculous situations and comedic gems hidden throughout the film. Need a laugh? This week our guest Jade Taylor Cooke (or simply Cooke) comes all the way from South Africa to chat about the childhood classic The NeverEnding Story (1984). We jump into this German classic which became a VHS staple for so many kids. Be warned though upon viewing as an adult it reveals a much darker film than you remember. This episode gets deep into the philosophical metaphors and insane ideas we all missed when we first watched The NeverEnding Story in our PJ's and blanket forts! Enjoy!

This week we have Roie karni a NYU film student and TikTok star! He joins me as we chat about the french indie film Portrait of a Lady on Fire. Its the first film of the podcast which I haven't seen before and the first subtitled movie we have had!! We dive in and chat about some big issues the film raises like gender, sex and our perception of love! (Unfortunately due to some recording errors the last 5 minutes has a bit of overlap)

In this weeks special Halloween episode I am joined by my girlfriend Dara Karni. We discuss the Alfred Hitchcock classic Psycho (1960) chatting about the impact this early slasher film had on the movie industry and how suspense, terror and black and white filming was mixed together to make one of the greatest movies of all time.
