“Samuel is an 12-year-old French Caribbean boy who lives in Guadeloupe. He has been studying piano for years. From an early age, he experienced recurring water cuts, and every time to get away from distress, he escaped to the beach where he composed and sang Ukulele songs with his father. During the coronavirus lock-down, he started recording the water cuts at home. In 2022, he compiled 70 videos to document the dramatic situation of the water crisis.”

Besides, she also experienced working with film festival, including the 76th Cannes Film Festival2023, where she work as intern in film market film & business department.

In 2022, Yihan directed a narrative short film “Cross Bay Bridge” and a multimedia theatre production “Amber”. In 2023, her B&W photography collection “100 New Yorkers Leaving My Sight” is selected to exhibit in Times Art Gallery. And Yihan also directed the fashion short film ""Encounter"" for the special tech-intangible cultural heritage fashion brand, WENLEI. Her short film ""Oblivion in Me"" received the Quarter-Finalist Award in the SWIFF Film Festival Best Short Film Category.

Having grown up with her mother involved in the field of psychology, Yihan has been deeply influenced by the exploration of individual’s mental struggle. She delves into themes of isolation and the human quest for connection in an ever-changing world. Yihan strives to strike a balance between storytelling and a unique poetic aesthetic that drives her narrative style.

In her free time, Yihan is also vocal and violinist of music band and orchestra. This aspect of her life serves as a significant inspiration for her artworks."”
