As he does each year, Tom puts students on the spot while they are here at the class and asks them questions they aren't prepared for. Questions like, "has the class been worth the money you paid?", "What's been your favorite part of the class so far?", "If you had to go home now and explain the class to a friend, how would you describe it?".
The answers to these questions are raw, real and in the movement and there is no better testimony to Tom and the crew at Film The Hunt than that. There is no better information you could get as you are trying to decide if these classes are worth it, or if you would get enough out of it, than these testimonies on this podcast right here. So we hope you enjoy these informative, fun conversations that the crew has over a couple campfire drinks from this year's Film The Hunt "On-Site" Courses.

Your host, Tom Petry, sits down with badlands marketing director Blake VanTussenbrook as well as with fellow producers Jorden Susewitz and Chris Hayes on location in Alabama. They discuss the new pattern, new gear, release dates and a deep dive into what it takes to pull off a photoshoot of this magnitude in just 2 days. And of course they do it over a beverage or 2. Tom sits down with 3 different Field Producers while in their home deer camp of Ohio. They talk filming hunts from elk to whitetails and how filming these hunts can differ both in preparation and execution. Tom takes it easy on these guys (NOT) and uses their trials and tribulations and the things they’ve learned the “hard” way this week in camp, to help you from making thew same mistakes. We all learn every day and this group of guys are humble and proud to share these situations with you, to help you. It’s a FUN conversation with a ton of inside information, so many laughs and alll of course over a beverage or 2 from the Become 1 deer camp. Take notes and enjoy!

Tom and former Film the Hunt Student Mike Stone form a friendship that started in the classroom but turned into hunting buddies. The 2 of them and producer Chris Hayes sit down in Okie deer camp and have quite the conversation. As always, an educational podcast with lots of great deer stories, tips on filming and producing hunts, and lots of belly laughs. All over an ice cold beverage in a camp where good memories were made with great people.
Tom heads to Colorado for 2 weeks of doing what is arguably his favorite thing to do. Hunt Elk and live out of a Montana Canvas wall tent. First up, he is hunting with good friend and THE MAN over at Badlands Gear, Blake VanTussenbrook. The challenges continue behind the bow and behind the camera for the crew but we keep learning and SO WILL YOU! Onto the second week, Tom flips rolls and runs a camera for good friend, elk hunting buddy and producer Jorden Susewitz. Also up to bat is Tom’s brother John. His first time out west and first time elk hunting…wait till you hear these stories. LMAO!!! A helluva FUN conversation with so much to learn as we troubleshoot gear issues, and elk….all while having a cocktail or 2 back at our cozy camps. Hope you enjoy
Tom visits with past Film The Hunt student Mike Miller. They talk about Mikes journey through the courses, his early stage of getting work in the industry, working with us at Become 1 and ultimately where it all has led him nearly a decade later. These stories never get old and we at Film The Hunt take great pride in the fact that we played a small part in their success story. From the good to the bad and yeah even the ugly, enjoy a great conversation and yet another testimony to what making that investment into yourself through our program can do for you. Its a small price to pay to earn a living doing what you love. Find out more on how you too can pull it off in this very podcast!

Tom sits on the back patio reminiscing with his brother John. From the days when they first picked up a camera to film hunts (Apx1990) to the days of filming each other and how that progression has lead them both in separate directions. Things have certainly changed over the years both in technology and how far Outdoor TV has come, and they go down those roads of discussing the differences over a cold one. Times are changing for the better when it comes to this industry and we are so fortunate to be apart of it. So sit back and enjoy some good conversation with Tom and John about the good Ol days.
