    Dan is an award-winning director, writer and editor from the UK, working in narrative fiction.
    He completed his no-budget feature film, “Unhinged” in 2017, which received international distribution via 88 Films and eOne entertainment.
    In 2018, his #3MinuteHorror series received acclaim, amassing over 2 million views online. Episode one, “The Mime”, has since screened at Bafta and Oscar qualifying Leeds International Film Festival, Vortex, Rhode Island international Film Festival, amongst others.

    On this episode of Filmmaker of the Week, we sit down with Kjell Hammero. 
    Kjell Hammerø is an award-winning writer & director based in Norway. He has directed several short-films, commercials, industrials and music-videos.
    In 2003, he directed and co-wrote his first feature-film, “Bare på jobb”. His second feature film, “Entombed”, which he wrote, directed and co-produced, was completed in late 2020. It is now in distribution through Bayview Entertainment.
    He has also worked as a teacher, teaching writing and directing at a two-year film school based in Norway (Bergen) for the past 12 years.

    In a faraway land where the rain never stops, six-year-old Kyna spends her days playing carelessly with her dog Nana under the protective "umbrella beard" of her father, Din. He let it grow in order to shelter Kyna, who developed a fear of rain on the day she was born. One night, Kyna's life turns upside down when Nana disappears. To find her, Kyna will have to embark on an adventure of self-discovery and she will be bound to face her great fear, the Rain.

    Jeff Gross has worked in film production and Product Placement for over 20 years. He started his career in production on Romy and Michele's High School Reunion, The Truman Show, and several other wide-releases before becoming Product Placement Supervisor on studio films including Disney's The Bridge to Terabithia, New Line Cinema's Journey to the Center of the Earth and most recently, the upcoming Chocolate Lizards starring Thomas Haden Church and Carrie-Anne Moss.     About the film: 
    Two lonely outsiders, both stuck hiding from the world, stumble into each other's lives when they need each other most and help encourage the other into choosing to pursue happiness.
    Brian Mayhew, 29, is a manly construction worker by day and a wanna-be drag queen by night. Tackling his double life alone whilst keeping his big drag secret from the world, he dreams of performing at a local nightclub’s open drag night but believes he isn’t ready. Until he meets Maeve, 21, an angry-at-the-world convenience store employee, who’s stuck in an abusive relationship and uses make-up to hide herself. Together they support each other in choosing happiness. Brian helps Maeve escape her abusive relationship, whilst Maeve helps Brian perfect his look and find the courage to get up on stage in drag. Together they help each other achieve what they believe is the unachievable, and in doing so build an unbreakable friendship.
