Hey Girlfriend!

Today’s Episode is about the bank being just a BANK, and the Budget being the ACTIONABLE PLAN.

I went YEARS thinking my bank account had my back, but it didn’t. Bank accounts are too dumb to know what to do with our money. Below are key takeaways to help with context.

• Shared a quick note from a client and community member, who’s WINNING with MONEY, NOW that SHE is working her BUDGET!
• She’s the HERO for taking information and doing something with it. She’s taking ACTION!
• I try to give clarity on the differences between the Bank and the Budget, and even though they are different, they BOTH need to be put to work, and one cannot be successful without the other.
• Are you banking on your Bank Account to grow wealth, and create a life with OPTIONS? If so, how is that going?
• Are you using a budget, and staying consistently honest and taking ACTION?

Today’s Episode is about pulling back the veil on things we may be avoiding, such as big debts like student loans.

I’m referencing a scene from my own movie on Student Loans:

• If you’re not looking at your student loan debts, start looking. It might be a harsh reality, but understanding the interest rate, rules, fees, and policies within these loan products is valuable. It helps to give us the nudge we need to get out of debt faster.
• I go into some factual figures about my traumatic student loan experience, in hopes that this helps someone else out there who may be feeling alone in a trench of massive debt. YOU ARE NOT ALONE!
• I touch on the part about how I got more and more pissed off at the debt, as I got closer to paying it all off, and it fueled my FIRE!
• Knowing the TRUTH and taking responsibility is POWER!

• Referencing a story from my early twenties, when I used to go out, and have a good time… A little too good maybe.
• There’s ugliness in reality, but it gets even uglier when we’re not paying attention to the truth.
• The fear and anxiety is often so much bigger than the truth.

Thank you brave soul for listening in on this one. Even when you might have been hesitant when reading the title. Sorry, not sorry… I had to do it.

Today’s Episode is about commitment to learning, even when there’s fear of inconvenience.

High Points:

• Potty Training our toddler inspired this podcast… Ha!
• I refer to the book I’m learning from: “Oh Crap! Potty Training”, by Jamie Glowacki. And how it’s aligned with the learning curves we need to work through in order to up-level in any area… Not just POOP!
• Big businesses, such as diaper companies, credit card companies, and student loan co's, CAPITALIZE on serving us LONGER. They “offer” us the concept of “convenience” by instilling FEAR, and we continue to buy in.
• Some juicy feedback from one of my sweet and SUCCESSFUL clients.
• ARE WE STILL ON “DIAPER DUTY” without even realizing it?

Something I wrote in my notes:

“Shit Happens, but we can clean it up! There was a time when my bank account was like a dirty diaper. It was really good at hiding my shitty mess. Now I have a budget that's like clean underwear. It's a barrier between me and the world, but it won't stand for my shit! If I make a mess, it'll expose me, without hesitation. Why? Because I told it to. I give the budget power to protect me and hold me accountable to the rules I put in place! I tell it to give me permission to spend, based on MY PLANS for my life! This way, everybody is happy, and smells good too.”

Here we are again Girlfriend… We’re showing up and advocating for ourselves. I’m so excited and honored to have you here with me.

Today’s Episode is about Community, and how important it is to stay connected with groups and individuals that are aligned with our growth path.

• Be the small thing (butterfly) that can have a HUGE impact. 
• I refer to the AA 12 Step Program, and how “community” (fellowship) makes it successful.
• Reach out! Even though this journey is personal, there are others walking through it. CONNECT.
• Also talking about other community examples, where connection helps with accountability.
• Even when someone close to us isn’t on board with our new action steps, WE can still TRANSFORM.
