We are first tackling the era of Mafia books today! I think this is going to be the spiciest year yet!

an absolute RIOT! You are in for a silly, hilarious, parody of two characters competing against each other to see who embraces christmas more. Quick read that gets you in the holiday spirit and gives you the right amount of spice to make a nun blush.

In this episode, we dive into Kingdom of the Wicked by Kerri Maniscalco, a dark and thrilling fantasy that blends Italian folklore with murder, mystery, and romance. Set in 19th-century Sicily, the story follows Emilia, a young witch who seeks vengeance after discovering her twin sister, Vittoria, has been brutally murdered. Emilia’s pursuit of justice leads her into a dangerous alliance with Wrath, one of the seven princes of Hell, whose motives and dark allure challenge her resolve at every turn. Together, they unravel a sinister conspiracy that threatens both the mortal and supernatural realms.

Welcome back, book lovers! 📚

Ruby had me in this book, it was like she said “ I’m gonna tell you what’s gonna happen but now you have to wait most of the book until it does happen”. For the Mother/Sister standard, no no no. Mostly because the spice level 5/5! This is a Monster(Tauren)/Human marriage of convenience. Ruby knows how to create an immersive world with culture, outlaying the societal norms within the society and how they impact the characters so if you loved Ice Planet Barbarians you will love this book! I really was hooked from the beginning!
