Adam sinned. When he did, immediately, the consequences of his sin became yours. You were made a sinner. You were born to die. You were under the judgment of condemnation. Like it or not, these or the consequences that Paul lays out in the 5th chapter of Romans. But, he also tells us of the Great Reversal that can be ours in Christ and through Christ and because of Christ. One sin brought condemnation and death to all men. How is the world different than it was when God placed Adam in this world? Paul suggests that it is radically different. The soul of man exists a ruin. All of creation went into bondage to corruption. Adam opened a gate for something to come into this world that God never intended. Once opened, he had no power to shut it. The only one who can reverse the catastrophe is the Lord Jesus Christ. This is a message that will make you think deeply about your own life and this world in which we live.

Is trial a time to question God, or is it a time to rejoice in God? Paul said that we should rejoice in our sufferings. How is that possible? Listen as our pastor explores an interesting set of verses in Romans.

Our message to the 21st Century should be the same as Paul's message First Century Rome. Our message to the 21st century should be to remind them that we are all sinners. That we are all in danger of the wrath of God—and that God demonstrated his great love and so desires to save us that while we were still sinners Christ died for us!

Saving faith requires first that you measure yourself and come to see a good picture of your own personal hopelessness. Second, it requires that you measure God, taking stock of His infinite power to do what needs to be done in your life. Third, it requires you place your full hope in God. That is the Fatih that saves!
