Does your church seem to have a little poison in the pot? Is the worship and fellowship of your church pleasing to God? Does it bring Him glory?

Since the sin of Adam, every person is under condemnation. But what does that mean? Our pastor introduces Paul's first verse of Romans 8 by explaining the meaning of condemnation. It is the "thumbs down judgment of God." Are you condemned or condemned no more. In John 3:18, the Bible tells us that those who don't believe in Jesus are condemned already. The power of satan is a real and present power. He exercises his power in the world of men.He has the ability to disguise his presence and power. it is a destructive power and can only be broken by One stronger.A life not filled with and controlled by God's power is susceptible to the power of the enemy. Regardless of the degree to which satan excercises his power over a person's life, Jesus can still break that power.

Paul realized a problem in the human condition. It is the problem of sin. Sin is a mighty power, and seem to have no power against it. In fact, a person must be delivered from this power. This message deals with Romans 7:12-25 and that great question of Paul: Who will deliver me?

With the skill of a master in debate, Paul makes a case for the legality of the Believer's New Relationship. Once under the law, now the believer is free from the law and belongs to Christ. Paul lays down a general principle. Next he uses an illustration based on that principle. Then he makes application as he describes this relationship based which is based on new passions, new priorities, a new purpose and a new power.

In this message our pastor relates what happened in a setting where Jesus was speaking in a synagogue to what happens when Jesus speaks in church today. By the way, He does speak. He does speak in the context of your service. HIs voice is not the voice of the preacher or the voice of the music. What would happen should you hear Jesus speaking in your church?

In the sixth chapter of Romans, Paul uses the illustration of slavery to show how we can be free from sin. Are you a slave of sin or a slave of righteousness? Do you want to be anybody's slave? Is there a resistance in your heart to the whole idea of being a slave of God? Why? Is that not an indication of a deeper problem going all the way back to Adam in the garden. The secret of living the Christian life is not in something you can accomplish but in something Christ has accomplished. In fact, He will accomplish it in you. Paul tells us that POSITIONALLY we are IN CHRIST. In this message, our pastor shows us how this works out PRACTICALLY in our every day lives. How can you consider yourselves DEAD to sin and ALIVE TO GOD?

Romans 6 is the key to unlocking the secret of living the Christian life. First, Paul lays out the positional truth of what it means to be in Christ. He speaks of being united with Him in His death, buried with Him, and raised with Him. Do you know what all of this means for you?
