It is almost certain things will work out differently than you expect on the path to your calling.

So be prepared to have your preconceived notions challenged and be open to new possibilities.

In this episode I share how my own mind has been recently changed. As well another time that I was initially closed off to an opportunity that was meant for me (and that I took and had the best time with!).

It's essential to be open-minded and receptive to having your mind changed as you let your soul and the Divine take the lead.

Life is full of surprises and opportunities. Trust your intuition, embrace change, and remember that every experience is a stepping stone towards your ultimate calling.

As I look ahead to moving to a new city, I've decided I want a job. And I am going to take you on the journey with me each step of the way.

In the past 13 years all the roles I've had were helped along by being in the right place at the right time (hello luck and serendipity!). I have also been offered every job I have interviewed for. In part 1 (Ep. #20), I shared some of the dramatic ways change has happened in my life and career after big decluttering processes.

Decluttering isn't just about tidying up our physical spaces; it's about clearing out stagnant energy and making room for new possibilities in our lives.

It's like giving the universe a green light to send us what we need.

Your calling is a journey and process of growth, discovery and evolution.

It’s not a fixed destination that you reach then you’re done (phew! got my purpose - sorted!). Rather it’s a dynamic, non-linear (sometimes nonsensical and messy) ongoing process of exploration.

This journey requires you trust in your inner guidance, which will lead you to the next right step (and then the next; and the one after that).

The alternative title to this podcast was "burnout - when you are a dried up sultana with no juice left".

As a high achiever with a type-A personality, I have in the past often neglected my own needs for rest and recuperation. Which is supported by societal pressure to constantly move forward at an unsustainable relentless pace.

And yet, that kind of pace and pressure leads to burnout.

And my soul just ain't up for that anymore.

This is one inspiring conversation with vibrant, proudly neurodiverse, creative artist Leonie Dawson.

They have built a $13 million online creative business (working only 10 hours a week), won a host of awards for their biz, and is a prolific philanthropist who leads by example to show up as your authentic, weird, wonderful self.

Leonie shares valuable lessons on pursuing what your soul is calling you to do.

They show that building a business while working a full-time job is not only possible, but can be a joy. They share how they had the time of their life blogging and creating, while infusing their stale workplace with joy and love.

We get real and honest about shifting mindsets, overcoming self-doubt, pursuing creative passions, experiences with loss, the influence of elder women in their life, and the importance of embracing life's challenges and finding meaning in the midst of them.

We also discuss philanthropy and the role it plays in Leonie's life, highlighting the importance of giving back (and how much easier it is to do when you are wealthy!).

Leonie's story reminds us to pursue what sets our hearts and souls on fire, injecting joy wherever we can, appreciating the preciousness of life, and living life to the fullest.
