Find Your Gods

Would you know a god if you saw one? If they were standing on your doorstep asking for food and shelter, would you let them in? In the ancient world, Hospitality was a core value of day-to-day life. To offer it to all without condition was seen as the hight of virtue. To betray it was to suffer the wrath of the gods. This week we take a look at Baucis and Philemon, listening for the echoes of their story rippling through history to reach us here today.

Find Your Gods is a celebration of the ancient myths and an exploration of their resonance in our modern world. In each episode, we take a look at a story from mythology and explore the underlying themes and ideas. We’re kicking things off with a quick word from T.M. Camp, just so you’ll know who to blame. The gods are still among us. You just have to look for them.
