First hour featuring and tied to a November 19th book launch and reading event at Novel Idea Bookstore, featuring the fall release of 3 Invisible Publishing books, you’ll hear 3 interviews I’d conducted with the authors that afternoon ahead of it — Shazia Hafiz Ramji, Susannah M. Smith, and H.B. Hogan. The interviews were rearranged to match the order of the evening’s launch airing in the 2nd hour today. Then the launch that evening at Novel Idea Bookstore, you’ll hear Shazia Hafiz Ramji reading from her collection of poetry Port of Being, Susannah M. Smith reading from her described as a ‘curiosity-cabinet-as-novel called Fairy Tale Museum, and H.B. Hogan reading from her short story collection called This Keeps Happening.

Second hour featuring, from the October 2nd open mic reading in the ‘and the journey continues’ monthly series, you’ll hear readings by Kin Man, Anne Graham, Roger Dorey, Eric Folsom, and Bruce Kauffman. Following that, from the November 6th reading in the same series and held as part of CFRC 101.9fm’s annual funding drive – readings by Rob Watson, Kin Man, Jennie Marshall, Jill Glatt, Ky Pearce, Anne Graham, Bob MacKenzie, Eugene Cornacchia, and Meg Freer.

Featuring, from an October 21st reading at The Book Shop in Tamworth, you’ll hear readings by Geoffrey Cook, and Harold Hoefle. Then, from the October 2nd open mic reading in the ‘and the journey continues’ monthly series, you’ll hear readings by Ron Chase, Jerri Jerreat, Gwen Whitford, Jennie Marshall, Robert Millard, Gary Rasberry, Sarah Emtage, Meg Freer, Jolene Simko, and Nadia Pacey.

A November 7th book launch reading event held at Novel Idea Bookstore, you’ll hear a talk by Sean M. Maloney as he launched his new book, Operation Kinetic: Stabilizing Kosovo. Following that from an October 16th launch again at Novel Idea, you’ll hear a reading by Sergio Sismondo as he launched his new book, Ghost Managed Medicine. Then from a November 10th launch event again held at Novel Idea Bookstore, you’ll hear readings by Paul Carlucci with his book, The High-Rise in Fort Fierce, and Ian Weir with his, The Death and Life of Strother Purcell.

A Special Christmas show featuring a 2 act adaptation as a dramatic reading of Charles Dickens ‘A Christmas Carol’ as performed by Peter Aston, Michelle Mallen, Donald Mitchell, William Mitchell, Adele Mitchell, Wendy Luella Perkins, and Charlie Walker.  

First hour features, from an October 24th event at Novel Idea Bookstore and emceed by Kirsteen MacLeod, Pamela Mulloy reading from and launching her new book ‘The Deserters’. Following that, from a November 15th launch and reading event held again at Novel Idea, you’ll hear a reading by Carolyn Smart, and then a reading by Susan Gillis as she Kingston launched her new collection of poetry, ‘Yellow Cranes’.

Second hour features, from a November 21st launch event again held at Novel Idea Bookstore, Lindy Michefske reading from and discussing her latest book ‘Out of Old Ontario Kitchens’.

From a November 1 event at Novel Idea Bookstore, you’ll hear Sean Mallen reading from and launching his new book Falling for London. Following that, from a November 13 event called "Feed Dog & Friends" Kingston Launch, you’ll hear a welcome by Stuart Ross, then readings by Dale Tracy with her chapbook Celebration Machine, and Alice Burdick with her collection Deportment. Then you’ll hear a reading by Allison Chisholm with her debut collection of poetry called On the Count of None, and then the Q&A that followed.

From the October 23rd lecture in ‘The Page Lectures’ annual series featuring this year’s lecturer Don McKay, you’ll hear a welcome to the event by Phil Hall, then an introduction to Don delivered by Maureen Scott Harris, and then the lecture itself. It will run into the 2nd hour today. Then, following the conclusion of Don McKay’s lecture in ‘The Page Lecture’ for 2018, you’ll hear an October 18th book launch and reading event held at Novel Idea Bookstore, with readings by Heather Cadsby with her latest collection of poetry ‘standing in a flock of connections’, and Sandra Davies with her debut collection ‘giacometti’s girl’ that evening.

From an October 10th book launch event held at Novel Idea Bookstore, you’ll hear Erika Behrisch Elce, reading from and launching her new book ‘Lady Franklin of Russell Square’. Following that, from an October 11th double book launch event again at the bookstore, you’ll hear readings by John Donlan and Mirriam Clavir launching each of theirs: ‘Out All Day’ and ‘Fate Accompli: Murder in Quebec City’. From an October 4th book launch event held again at Novel Idea Bookstore, you’ll hear readings by both Kath MacLean launching her book, ‘Translating Air’, and that evening’s host, Elizabeth Greene.

In the first hour, from the October 28th inaugural launch of the John B. Lee Signature Series imprint with Hidden Brook Press held at the Supermarket Restaurant and Bar in Toronto, you’ll hear readings by John B. Lee, Don Gutterridge, John Di Leonardo, and April Bulmer.
