First hour featuring, from the John B. Lee Signature Series 2019 Spring Launch held in Toronto on May 26th, you’ll hear an introduction by Hidden Brook Press Publisher Richard M. Grove, opening remarks by John B. Lee and, in Don’s behalf, his reading of Donald Gutteridge’s poems from his “The Star-Brushed Horizon”, and then Eva Kolacz reading from her “Whatever We Are”. Second hour featuring and continuing with that launch event, you’ll hear Bruce Kauffman reading from his “an evening absence still waiting for moon”, a reading by John B. Lee, and then open mic readings by April Bulmer, Tom Gannon Hamilton, and Laurence Hutchman.

First hour featuring, from the May 7th ‘and the journey continues’ open mic reading in that monthly series, you’ll hear readings by Allison Chisholm, Michael Casteels, Judith Popiel, and Bruce Kauffman in the first round, and then from the second round – Ron Chase, Kinman, Gwen Whitford, Colleen Lyons, Quentin Kerr, Cori Mayhew, Sasha Hill, Bob Mackenzie, Meg Freer, Ken Chin, and Ky Pearce. First hour featuring, from a May 1st Viva Voce event called ‘Languages’ held at the KFPL, you’ll hear readings or performances by Alyssa Cooper, Myriam Bouti, Gabrielle Pulver, and Sawsan Mohammed. Second hour featuring, continuing with the Viva Voce event, you’ll hear a reading by Alexandra King-Mushey, and Rogan Gowan-Day. Then, from the April 2nd ‘and the journey continues’ open mic reading, you’ll hear readings by Michael Casteels, Sarah Emtage, Bob MacKenzie, Carlos Sanchez, Kinman, Sasha Hill, Dale Tracy, Erin Boyce, Eric Folsom, Ariane, and Bruce Kauffman.

First hour featuring, from an April 30th City of Kingston and KFPL organized poetry event to celebrate National Poetry month called “An Evening with Kingston’s Poets Laureate” and as emceed by Danika Lochead, you’ll hear readings by outgoing Poet Laureate Helen Humphreys, Ashley-Elizabeth Best, Kingston’s first Poet Laureate Eric Folsom, Ky Pearce, with piano interludes composed and performed by Darrell Bryan following each poet’s reading. The full event could not fit in this hour and continues in the next. Second hour featuring, you’ll hear the remainder of “An Evening with Kingston’s Poets Laureate” with readings by Zoe Coulter, and Kingston’s incoming Poet Laureate Jason Heroux with again musical interludes by Darrell Bryan, and concluding remarks by Danika Lochead. Following that, from an April 18th book launch event at Novel Idea Bookstore, you’ll hear Armand Garnet Ruffo reading from his latest book Treaty # (Wolsak & Wynn, 2019).

First hour featuring, from an April 4th reading from the book What the Poets Are Doing at Novel Idea Bookstore, and as emceed by the book’s editor Rob Taylor, you’ll hear readings by Ben Ladouceur, Steven Heighton, and Armand Garnet Ruffo. Second hour featuring, and about 8 minutes into it following Armand Garnet Ruffo’ segment from the first hour, from the April 2nd open mic in the ‘and the journey continues’ monthly reading series, you’ll hear readings ‘in the round’ by Matt Drabenstott, Dale Tracy, Roger Dorey, Judith Popiel, Erin Boyce, Eric Folsom, Brent Raycroft, Ron Chase, Benjamin Laughlin, Alyssa Cooper, Jennie Marshall, and Bruce Kauffman.

Second hour featuring and continuing with the March 27th QPS event, you’ll hear readings or performances by Billie, Alyssa, Izzy, and Bryce. Following that, you’ll hear the final 4 readings that haven’t yet aired from the March 5th ‘and the journey continues’ open mic reading in that monthly series with readings by Octavian Zara, Eric Folsom, Tony West, and Bruce Kauffman.

First hour featuring, from the March 25th Queen’s Poetry Slam open mic event held at The Tea Room on campus, you’ll hear readings or performances by Bryce, Lin, Tia, Jack, Erin, Bob, Kobe, Kat, and Billie. Second hour featuring, from an April 4th book launch and reading event at Novel Idea Bookstore, you’ll hear Rick Prashaw talking about and reading from the book he ‘co-wrote’ with his son about and around the latter’s life, ‘Soar, Adam, Soar’.

First hour featuring, from the March 12th Creative Writing at Queen’s University reading in their series held in Watson Hall Room 517, you’ll hear Iain Reid first reading from his 2 latest books, I’m Thinking of Ending Things and Foe to begin the hour, and then the Q&A that followed. That Q&A runs several minutes into the 2nd hour. Carolyn Smart hosts that series. Second hour featuring, you’ll hear the final few minutes of Iain Reid’s Q&A, and then from the March 5th ‘and the journey continues’ open mic reading in that monthly series, you’ll hear readings by Judith Popiel, Erin Boyce, Sasha Hill, and Ken Chin.
