Fi: Kesän taika loisti kirkkaana Suomen järven rannalla, missä pieni kesämökki seisoi hiljaa havupuiden keskellä.
En: The magic of summer shone brightly by the lake in Finland, where a small summer cottage stood quietly among the pine trees.

Fi: Ovi kävi, ja sisältä kuului ystävien puhetta ja naurua.
En: The door opened and inside there was the sound of friends talking and laughing.

Fi: Oli juhannus, ja Aino ja Eero olivat tulleet viettämään viikonloppua mökille.
En: It was juhannus, and Aino and Eero had come to spend the weekend at the cottage.

Fi: Aino seisoi keittiössä ja katseli ulos ikkunasta järvelle.
En: Aino stood in the kitchen and looked out the window at the lake.
