  • FINDING FELICITY: EPISODE 22 – “FELICITY WAS HERE” (OR, “THE SEASON FINALE WITH ALL THE FEELS!”)

    Logo by Noel Rivera.

Finding Felicity is a podcast where Pomonok Entertainment’s Teresa Jusino, a Felicity newbie, chats with rotating guest co-hosts who are already Felicity fans to talk about life, love, and growing up – no matter how old you are – through the lens of this coming-of-age television drama created by J.J. Abrams and Matt Reeves.

WE MADE IT TO THE END OF FELICITY SEASON 1! Episode 22 of Finding Felicity is called ‘Felicity Was Here’ (Or, ‘The Season Finale With All the Feels!’), because because Teresa definitely had a lot of feels, both about the final episode of Felicity S1, and about it being the final episode of the first season of her first Pomonok Podcast!

Singer/songwriter (and the voice of Finding Felicity) Dayna Webber joins Teresa via Skype from New York City to close out the season. You may remember her as Finding Felicity’s very first guest co-host. This week, they talk about “Felicity Was Here,” Ben’s haircut (why wasn’t THAT national news? Did they SEE how hot he was??), why Noel shouldn’t have even been a contender, and general feelings about Felicity’s first year at the University of New York.

We also want to THANK YOU for listening and watching along with us! There WILL be a Season 2 that Teresa hopes will be bigger and better than ever! Follow our socials to hear more about it – it will likely be debuting in the Fall. Like a new season of old-school television.

**NOTE: The audio is wonky for the first 25 mins or so – but once the convo gets into Felicity through a modern-day lens, it’s back to normal. Hang in there.**

Abrams and Matt Reeves.

Episode 21 of Finding Felicity is called ‘The Force’ (Or, ‘Just Write a Star Wars Episode If That’s What You Wanted to Do!’), because this episode half-assed the witchy metaphors and half-assed the Star Wars metaphors. Just pick one! And Ben – STOP WHISPERING YOUR FEELINGS!

Director Tiffany Frances joins Teresa in the Fanbase Press studio to talk about why Lynn’s girlfriend Nicole makes zero sense, the terrible side of 90s television, and why Tiffany thinks that College Tiffany should’ve had a little more fun. She also shares about her upcoming short film, Hello From Taiwan.

Abrams and Matt Reeves.

Episode 20 of Finding Felicity is called ‘Connections’ (Or, ‘Felicity is a Terrible Boss’), because…well…she is! But don’t worry, she’s not the only one. Abby is a terrible boss for leaving Felicity in charge of Dean and Deluca and having her fire a terrible employee. Noel is, and has always been a terrible RA. And Professor McGrath…uuuuuugh. There aren’t enough eyeroll emojis in the world.

Sisters of Sci-Fi host L. Stephanie Tait joins Teresa in the Fanbase Press studio this week as they talk about the emotional labor of women, how terrible Noel and Sean are, and why Stephanie believes that, when you have a choice between a romantic partner and a personal dream or goal, you should always choose yourself.

Abrams and Matt Reeves.

Episode 19 of Finding Felicity is called ‘Docuventary’ (Or, ‘Brewing For a While’), because for a brief, shining moment, Felicity has the clarity to acknowledge that maybe her relationship with Noel is a mess for reasons other than Hanna….only to chuck all that insight out the window because Noel says he loves her. So they’re “figuring things out” now. Grreeeaaat….

Returning guest co-host Katherine Murray-Satchell (you might remember her from Episode 10) joins Teresa this week in the Fanbase Press studio. In this episode, Kat and Teresa re-examine Noel as Kat explains her continued Noel support. They also talk documentaries! You know, real ones, as opposed to the hot garbage one that Sean is trying to make in this episode.

  • FINDING FELICITY: EPISODE 18 – ‘HAPPY BIRTHDAY’ (OR, ‘THIS IS SOME BULLSH*T’)

Finding Felicity is a podcast where Pomonok Entertainment’s Teresa Jusino, a Felicity newbie, chats with rotating guest co-hosts who are already Felicity fans to talk about life, love, and growing up – no matter how old you are – through the lens of this coming-of-age television drama created by J.J. Abrams and Matt Reeves.
Episode 18 of Finding Felicity is called ‘Happy Birthday’ (Or, ‘This Is Some Bullsh*t’), because Carol actually being Julie’s mom? Even after she lied to her face and told her she was not her mom, and we were all okay with that? That’s some straight-up bullsh*t.
Teresa is joined in the Fanbase Press studio by producer extraordinaire, David Schatanoff Jr. (you might remember him from Episode Nine) who, after celebrating “Thanksgiving” with us returns for Julie’s birthday. In this episode, David and Teresa talk about the ridiculousness (and slight evil?) of Julie’s mom, Ben’s budding gambling addiction, and the many ways in which our families – much like Megan’s parents – give a new insight into our lives when seen out of context.
PLEASE NOTE: For the first 4-5 mins of this episode, there was an unforeseen issue with our guest mic, so Dave’s voice sounds really low compared to Teresa’s. You’ll have to turn your volume up. But after that, his mic kicks in, and it’s absolutely normal for the rest of the podcast. Apologies for the technical glitch.

  • FINDING FELICITY: EPISODE 17 – “ASSASSINS” (OR, “NOEL CRANE: FUTURE ‘MEN’S RIGHTS’ ACTIVIST”)
Episode 17 of Finding Felicity is called ‘Assassins’ (Or, ‘Noel Crane: Future Men’s Rights Activist’), because Noel is just one fedora away from being exactly the kind of dude you’d find in an MRA subreddit thread about how women actually have all the power and shit all over “nice guys.”
Teresa is joined once again by actor, blogger, and Felicity super-fan Jen Levin (whom you might remember from Episode Two) who is finally, at long last, able to unleash her Noel-hate in full. And with good reason! In this episode, Teresa and Jen talk about Noel’s desire to maintain all the control and say in his relationship with Felicity as he “figures things out,” then has the nerve to be upset that Felicity’s upset despite his being the cause of all their woes in the first place. They also talk about Elena’s badassery, Ben’s realness, and Sean’s creepiness.

  • FINDING FELICITY: EPISODE 16 – “THE FUGUE” (OR, “NEW YORK IS A BIG CITY, Y’ALL! DAMN!”)
Episode 16 of Finding Felicity is called ‘The Fugue’ (Or, ‘New York is a Big City, Y’all! Damn!’), because OH MY GOD YOU DON’T HAVE TO EVER SEE HANNA AGAIN IF YOU DON’T WANT TO IN NEW YORK. STOP ACTING LIKE HER BEING IN TOWN NEEDS TO BE A BIG DEAL. Except, of course it is, because there are unresolved feelings, blah-blah.
Finding Felicity co-producer and editor Bryant Dillon finally comes out from behind his monitor to get into the Felicity discussion this week! He and Teresa discuss Noel continuing to be the most trash (and Hanna, too, surprisingly), how art affects relationships, and why Teresa is hoping (quite possibly against hope) that the show just lets Felicity have sex for the first time with a rando art student on a paint-splattered couch.

  • FINDING FELICITY: EPISODE 15 – “LOVE AND MARRIAGE” (OR, “IT WAS VERY…FELICITY”)
Episode 15 of Finding Felicity is called ‘Love and Marriage’ (Or, ‘It Was Very…Felicity’), because in addition to examining love in all its facets, Noel also acknowledges his girlfriend’s erratic, impulsive behavior as “very….Felicity.” Which is the nicest way to say “whackadoodle” ever.
Teresa is joined via Skype by pop culture journalist Andrea Levine to talk about how awesome Javier is, and how less-than-awesome Noel’s response to his brother is. In this episode, Teresa and Andrea discuss whether or not it’s appropriate for an adult to ask a teenager to marry them to keep them in the country (SPOILER ALERT: it’s not), whether Spanish can be considered Latinx representation, and what happens when siblings get to know each other more fully.

  • FINDING FELICITY: EPISODE 14 – “TODD MULCAHY, PT. 2” (OR, “JUST GO HOME ALREADY”)
Episode 14 of Finding Felicity is called ‘Todd Mulcahy, Pt. 2’ (Or, ‘Just Go Home Already’) because [SPOILER ALERT] Todd survived his encounter with a bus and remains in New York and remains annoying. Also, apparently someone wants to marry that? Ugh.
Once again, Teresa is joined in the Fanbase Press studio by award-winning filmmaker Jenna Payne, who’s here to tackle Part Two of this two-parter, which was J.J. Abrams’ professional directorial debut. In this episode, Teresa and Jenna discuss Abrams’ writing and directing, the disappointing way in which Felicity humors Todd, and the fact that Felicity just seems to get away with everything while Julie gets punished for everything. Must be nice to be the title character on a TV show.

WELCOME BACK TO FINDING FELICITY! We hope you had a wonderful holiday season, and that your 2019 is off to an awesome start.
Episode 13 of Finding Felicity is titled ‘Todd Mulcahy, Pt. 1’ (Or, ‘Motherf*cker Deserved It’) because, well, he DID. Todd absolutely deserved what happened to him, and no amount of Mallomars changes that.
Teresa is joined in the Fanbase Press studio by award-winning filmmaker Jenna Payne, who’s here to discuss Part One of this two-parter today, and will return next week to conclude the story with us. This week, she and Teresa discuss what a Stalker McStalkerson Todd is, missed opportunities, and why everyone in this episode (except for Felicity and Elena!) was a pile of hot trash (or at least warm trash).
