When she's not stuck in a cubicle at the 9-5, you can find Lizanne ordering a latte, catching a flight with her beau or family, or adventuring with girlfriends. The Finding Fire crew had the opportunity to meet up with Lizanne over Zoom and talk about the full perspective of what it's like to be a travel/lifestyle blogger. We talked everything from what it takes to build true partnerships with companies, the time it takes to plan out an epic adventure, and the true benefits of pursuing passion.
Lizanne's blogging career started through something she loved, the love of exploring new towns and cities discovering its hidden gems. Most importantly, this passion has allowed her to inspire so many people to get out of the house and create experiences that they will never forget.
Tune in for some great takeaways about blogging and some true inspiration that is evident in Lizanne's journey.
This episode brings you Ryan and Matt doing something completely new by giving blind takes to Reddit topics that revolve around business and corporate life. From people taking the easy route, never having the answers to interview questions, to quitting a job after four months. Do these people need to step outside the box and get uncomfortable?
On this episode of the Finding Fire Podcast, we had the privilege of visiting with Minnesota State Senate District 3 Candidate Grant Hauschild. Politics may seem like something daunting for most, but ever since the age of fourteen Grant has been pursuing politics in hopes to make a change for the better. The most inspiring thing that stood out to us is how happy Grant is pursuing his passion and loving the process.
We talked about Grant's path into politics and how he has gravitated to being an involved leader within the community. Grant brings a wide range of experience at the federal, state, and local level. From his time working in rural economic development for the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), to his time serving as a labor policy aide to U.S. Senator Heidi Heitkamp.
As Grant is currently running for state senate, he also serves as the Executive Director of the Essentia Health Foundation and Hermantown City Councilor.
"Somebody's Nobody" is the new single that recently dropped by Duluth native, Nashville recording artist, Sydney Hansen. We were fortunate enough to have the opportunity to interview her before her newest project is released. Not only did we learn about what motivates this young artist to pursue her passion in music, but we were able to get to know her as a true go getter and someone who doesn't back down from challenges.
From doing shows in small town Duluth, Minnesota to shows in Nashville, Tennessee, Sydney sets a great example of how to immerse yourself in your passion.
During this episode of the Finding Fire Podcast, we sit down with Martin Grzywa, Semi Pro soccer player for the Duluth Football Club, located in Duluth, MN. Martin is from Toronto, and he talks about his journey throughout the United States, cultural differences he has encountered, and his experience while he was in a different country during the COVID 19 pandemic.
Martin also discusses the struggle he had with "overthinking," getting in his own head, and the importance of trusting your experience and instincts to overcome that. Soccer has played a significant role in Martin's life, and he shares lessons that he's learned from soccer that translates into everyday life.
One year ago we came across an Instagram post from Jordan Syatt, inviting people to DM him for a chance to have him as a guest on your podcast. We took our shot on a whim and messaged him... little did we know that he was booked out an entire year. That opportunity was well worth the wait, as Jordan dropped a ton of value for us and our listeners to take away and apply to everyday life.
Jordan is a strength and nutrition coach (formerly Gary Vaynerchuk’s trainer), and is one of the most down to earth individuals we have met. In this episode Jordan discusses how taking action creates motivation, which generates results, AKA, Dumbledore's Loop. We also dove deep into how Jordan set himself up for success, what motivates him, and the importance of being decisive when making decisions.

The journey that Dan traveled to find happiness and success wasn't necessarily the easiest path, however, it's clear that he has found his fire.

It not only affects sales people, but it also affects owners, managers, trainers and people throughout all walks of life.
This episode will cover what sales reluctance is, give real life examples, how to overcome it, and why it is such a “thing.”
