What happens when a few friends gather around a virtual campfire to share their unexplained experiences? You get ghost stories, goosebumps, a little laughter, and some fascinating conversations!
In this special Halloween edition of Finding Focus, I'm joined by Waven Dean Fernandez, Ellen Rostker, and Rootz N Flux Zenith for an informal gathering of true stories about things that aren't so easily explained.
I'll share my own chilling experience at California's historic Claremont Hotel, where my daughter and I heard mysterious noises coming from rooms that supposedly had no occupants—including a floor above us that didn't even exist!
Then WavenDean takes us to Hawaiʻi's Big Island for a hair-raising encounter with the legendary Night Marchers. Ellen shares stories of unexpected connections with loved ones who have passed, while Rootz brings a fascinating perspective on spirit encounters, energy, and the unseen world.
Along the way, we talk about flickering lights, meaningful dreams, intuitive experiences, and the comfort of knowing that others have had experiences they can't quite explain.
No séances. No ghost hunting. No attempts to prove or disprove anything. Just good company, intriguing stories, and a chance to explore the mysteries that sometimes find their way into our everyday lives.
So grab your coffee, pull up a chair, and join us around the campfire. Also available on YouTube, Finding Focus with Kathleen Davenport.
Have a ghost story of your own? I'd love to hear it!

Psychic messages don't usually arrive with dramatic music, flashing lights, or a line of spirits waiting to talk. They're often much more subtle--and easier to miss--than you might think. Here are three ways psychic information may actually show up.

Have you ever heard a song at exactly the right moment, noticed repeating numbers, or stumbled across a quote that felt like it was meant just for you?
We often treat signs as answers—a green light, a prediction, or confirmation that we should make a particular choice. But what if a sign isn’t actually giving you an answer?
In this short episode, I share a different way to think about signs and synchronicities. A sign might be a reminder, a moment of comfort, a reflection of something you already know, or simply an invitation to pay closer attention. And sometimes, what we call a sign may be our own mind looking for reassurance or confirmation of what we already want to believe.
I also talk about why discernment matters, why actively hunting for a sign can muddy the message, and what to ask yourself when something catches your attention.
Instead of asking, “What is this sign telling me to do?” try asking: “What is this asking me to notice?”
Because sometimes the sign isn’t the answer. It’s the beginning of a better question.

In this less-than-five-minute-episode, I'm tackling a concern I hear constantly: "I can't meditate, so I'll never be able to connect with my guides." I push back on that directly--sharing my own struggles with traditional meditation (my mind wanders, my bottom starts hurting, I fall asleep) to make the point that connection isn't about mastering one method. It's about finding your quiet space, whatever that looks like.
I walk through the many forms that space can take--a voice breaking through in the shower, messages arriving on a morning walk, my feet in the ocean, sunshine on a quiet afternoon. I share a story about a client of mine who found her clearest connection not on a cushion, but in her own garden, surrounded by plants, flowers, and a "big old wise tree." My throughline: the messages are already out there and want to be heard. The real work isn't the technique--it's learning to notice, trust, and sit with what comes through.

Psychic detective and medium Todd Segal is back on Finding Focus for round two, and this conversation goes everywhere--which is exactly the point. Todd and Kathleen pick up right where creative instinct and intuitive ability intersect, tracing the throughline from photography and painting to psychic perception, before diving into heavier territory: the shifting nature of mediumship, why spirit energy feels different than it did decades ago, and Todd's theory that the effects of COVID are still quietly reshaping people's health and minds.
The conversation turns to why 2026 itself feels different--the "double fire" Year of the Horse in the Chinese zodiac--and why both Todd and Kathleen have independently sensed a strange, restless energy building this year, from unexplained earthquakes and out-of-season storms in Hawai'i to a noticeable uptick in relationships and careers unraveling seemingly overnight. They also swap stories on Hawai'i's singular spiritual energy, the mysterious pull certain places have on certain people, and why so many of Todd's clients are being nudged--sometimes forcibly--into second-act careers built on skills they'd been ignoring for years.
It's a wide-ranging, unfiltered conversation between two longtime intuitives who've clearly earned the right to just talk.

I was recently asked to be interviewed by my longtime friend WavenDean Fernandes for a series of conversations with energy practitioners, and this episode is the result--a warm, free-form conversation about intuition, mediumship, and spirituality.
I spent my career as an Air Force intelligence officer--the kind of background where you don't exactly bring up psychic readings at work. But underneath the logic and top-secret clearance, I'd always had a gift for reading people, one I kept quietly tucked away until a retreat about two years ago changed everything.
In this conversation, I open up about the unlikely path that took me from military intelligence to full-time intuitive and psychic medium--and why I now see that background not as a contradiction, but as the perfect training ground for this work. WavenDean and I talk through how information actually comes through to me (it starts as a scene, like a movie in soft focus), the difference between spirit guides and deceased loved ones, and two client stories that still give me chills: a woman I guided back to painting who now sells her art in a gallery, and a woman I saw in a past-life as a scholar--which explained her lifelong pull toward deep conversation over small talk.
We also get into the harder stuff--how I framed my own experience with cancer not as something I "had" but as something I was "experiencing," and why that distinction mattered so much to me. And we close with a genuinely mind-bending detour into past lives, parallel lives, and whether time is as linear as we think it is.
If you've ever felt a pull toward something you couldn't quite explain, this one's for you.

In this episode of Finding Focus, I sit down with intuitive reader, medium, and spiritual mentor Aisha Muhammad for a heartfelt, wide-ranging conversation about intuition, mediumship, healing, and discovering who we truly are.
Aisha opens up about growing up in a deeply spiritual household, the childhood seance that first revealed her gift, and the years she spent afraid of what she could sense and see. She shares how she learned--with her mother's guidance--to set boundaries with spirits, trust her own way of receiving information, and stop comparing her gifts to other readers.
We talk about what actually happens during an intuitive reading, why it's never about a fixed fate, and how every one of us has the power to choose a different path at any moment. The conversation moves beyond psychic phenomena into something much more universal: healing generational trauma, learning what truly resonates with your soul, navigating spirituality and religion on your own terms, and remembering that age is just a number when it comes to living the life you actually want.
Whether you're deeply spiritual, simply curious about intuition, or wondering what's next for your own life, this conversation offers honesty, warmth, and plenty of moments that may shift the way you see yourself and the world around you.

So many people believe they can’t access their intuition… because they can’t meditate.
But what if that’s not the problem?
In this episode, I break down one of the biggest misconceptions around intuition and higher guidance—and why forcing yourself into traditional meditation practices may actually be getting in the way.
The truth is, most people are already intuitive.
They’re already receiving information.
They just don’t recognize it… or don’t trust what they’re getting.
We’ll explore:
I also share insights from my own experience transitioning from a highly analytical military background to understanding how intuitive processing was always part of how I operated—I just didn’t have the language for it.
If you’ve ever thought, “I think I’m intuitive… but I don’t trust it,” his episode will help you see what’s really going on—and what’s been missing.
If you’re ready to go deeper, I’ve created a private mentorship called Applied Intuition: Developing Your Intuitive Intelligence where I help you learn how to access, trust, and apply your intuitive intelligence in real life and real decisions.
