Finally!
A new voice!
Today I sat down virtually with my great friend Hashim. This episode excited me because he was an early supporter of me making a podcast, and helped me come up with my own premise. We discussed what "is" happiness, why goals lead to happiness, how to set goals and align them to, what it looks like to live a life absent of goals, and even went off on a few side tangents.
This is also my longest episode, so if you're a listener and have a preference on length PLEASE LET ME KNOW. I'm curious what y'all vibe with.
Activity: Think of 3 things that you either associate/interact with in a negative or passive manner. Now reframe & write down for each of them a positive statement that can serve as your new way of looking at that thing. For example I don't like radishes. I might write "Radishes are an exciting new food for me to develop a taste for. I don't like them yet, but they're full of antioxidants and my body will thank me if I slowly introduce them into my diet". Boom! Now I'm framing radishes in a manner that can equate to happiness rather than negativity.
Edit: After about the 80 minute mark the audio somehow became out of sync. Sorry! You'll get the point lol.
