I've been thinking a lot about anger, power, force, selfishness, and glory in the context of Books 1-4 in The Iliad. I try to sort out these things here. And then I try to lay out what the opposite is. Also, other commentary on Books 1-4 of The Iliad.

This year I'm doing World History. The author of our history book seems to assume that the development of the understanding in the West was natural and that that is the natural bent of the world. He leaves out a detail that would seem worthy of mention: Christianity.

I got done with Man's Search For Meaning by Viktor Frankl. I forgot to mention this in the video, but everyone should make an effort to read this book. I don't really talk about the book as such here because it's hard to put Frankl's ideas any better than he puts them. This video, therefore, is mostly on the connections between Viktor Frankl, Jordan Peterson, and Christianity. Not really sure where these ideas will take me, but it's interesting to ponder.
