Finding Something in the Nothing | Emily Waite

Listen Later

Emily Waite is a graduate of Southern Utah University in Anthropology & Criminal Justice. She was born and raised in Utah County and spent 20 years active in the Mormon church. In October of 2023 she left the church and has since been on a journey of deconstructing religion and reconstructing herself. If you are on a similar journey remember that you are not alone.

If you want to join Emily in embracing reconstruction follow @findingsomethinginthenothing or connect with her on LinkedIn @EmilyWaite22.

Sunflowers bloom in the most unexpected places & they adjust to remain connected to the sun. Metaphorically, I define these sunflower movements as experiences with people, places, and moments where we feel seen, heard, & believed.

This is Sunflower Movement - a community where people are able to show up authentically. Additionally, this podcast is an opportunity to ask, tell, & share anything with me, a licensed therapist & trauma specialist. Together I, along with my guests, will explore a variety of personal stories about mental health, trauma, religious trauma, relationships, nervous system regulation, spirituality, & all that the healing process encompasses.
