My guest today is someone who was raised with a strong sense of independence and a feeling of responsibility for taking care of others. Amy Flores-Young, known as Flo-Yo, learned early on that everything in life is figureoutable so there’s no need to get your panties in a bunch.
We’re talking about that trap of tying your personal identity to your work, the new sense of self-awareness sweeping the world right now, and viewing change as an opportunity for growth and learning.
A full-time travel professional and retreat concierge, Amy is all about transformational destinations and reclaiming the joy in travel. She specializes in working with coaches and leaders to manage the endless logistics required to wow retreat participants—from start to finish.
She is a sought-after speaker in the world of travel planning and retreats business strategy. When she's not planning and traveling, she is petting every puppy she meets, DJing kitchen dance parties, and shopping for new hoodies. I know what I need to add to the collection of Fine is a 4-Letter Word merch for her, when it comes out.
Hey I launched the inaugural small group, 8-week, F*ck Being Fine program a couple weeks ago. And it’s going really well!
Here’s an email I got from one of the participants before the first week was even finished…
I am finding when I focus on the day’s tasks, I am not overwhelmed and this brings confidence, peacefulness and a sense of power over the day.
Tired of biting your fingernails down to the quick every day while thinking about the argument you had last week with your partner and worrying about why your biggest prospect is ghosting you?
If you’re interested in radically increasing your profitability, energy & happiness while staying calm & grounded no matter what, you can get in on the next group. It starts in a few weeks. Find out more at ZenRabbit.com or text me at 571.317.1463.

My guest today is Dr. Liz DuBois. Our conversation covers a lot of ground – from being raised in a church that taught her who she is, was not ok, to her quest to find a world with more diversity and acceptance. From the similarities between addicts and high achievers, and how it’s a combination of belief systems and brain chemistry driving them. To owning and investigating your pain instead of keeping it buried deep inside.
For the past 14 years, Dr Liz DuBois has worked with high performers, entrepreneurs, and C-suite executives to navigate interpersonal, professional and business-related challenges. Using Conflict Analysis and Resolution tools and her intuitive skills, she empowers her clients to address trauma, codependency and self-worth issues so they can create world-changing companies.

Thoughts are part of the human experience. You don’t need to push them away in order to be good at meditation. Learning to bring your mind back from its thoughts is an integral part of practicing meditation.
But how do you let go of those thoughts once they’ve pulled you in?
This exercise offers you a way to “unhook” yourself from those thoughts and simply let them be. Without pushing your thoughts away or denying their presence, you can be aware of the thinking mind while remaining unattached.
If you enjoy this meditation and you’d like to find out how you can create a personalized meditation for yourself, go to customizedmeditation.com.
On today’s episode, my guest is a man who is the very definition of someone who wears many hats. Raoul Benavides is a lifelong entrepreneur who has proudly never had a job where he had to answer to someone else, which has allowed him to live a life of freedom on his terms.
We’re talking about balancing feminine and masculine energy, accepting failure as part of the dance, and seeing a vision so clearly that you know in your heart it’s already a reality. I’m eager for you to hear his philanthropic vision because it is really inspiring. And maybe you have connection that can help him get there.
As you’ll hear, Raoul truly believes entrepreneurship is all about the balance between creativity and vulnerability. His diverse career of making his dreams come true has had many chapters. From graffiti artist to fashion student to 25 years as an editorial photographer to artist agent, grip house owner, vinyl record merchant, bug farmer, movie executive producer, chicken whisperer, and now a condiment brand founder.
With a passion for sweet heat combinations, Raoul’s latest venture is Heart Soul Heat. This one-product company makes Ghost Honey. If you haven’t tasted this all-natural ghost pepper, vinegar and honey mash up yet, you are missing out. Mmm. Mmm. It is really delicious. And Raoul was kind enough to offer listeners of this show 20% off your first order when you go to HeartSoulHeat.com and use the code FINE at checkout.

On today’s episode, Tina Kadish and I are talking about her definition of freedom, what happens when you don’t keep promises to yourself, and why you’ll only take action when you’re ready. Growing up an Italian immigrant family with a scarcity mindset, Tina stayed in a marriage and then a job for longer than she would have liked because she was afraid of not having or making enough money. Listen to learn how she overcame that challenge.
Today, she lives with joy, fulfillment, and freedom. After 20 years in the corporate world as a trainer and talent acquisition strategist, Tina is now a Speaker, Life Purpose and Business Coach and Author. Through one-on-one coaching, group coaching, and workshops, she offers corporate women the tools and skills needed to take action, make their dreams a reality, and create financial success that enables them to give back to their communities.

On today’s episode, I have a real-life mermaid. If it didn’t involve water, then Lauren Ammon wanted nothing to do with it during her two-decades-long swimming career.
Lauren shares how fear inspired a life-long passion, her different way of meditating, and the importance of falling in love with the process of achieving.
We’re talking about her transition from high-level student-athlete to human resources professional and finally to becoming the mental resilience coach for student-athletes she wishes she’d had.
Her current business focus became clear while she was watching the 2020 Olympic games. She saw Simon Biles remove herself from the competition and Katie Ledecky do everything in her power to hide her disappointment following a lackluster race. It was then that Lauren felt deeply called to serve athletes.
Her dedication to that calling was cemented when Michael Phelps told the world “Competition is overwhelming. We just want someone to listen to us. Someone to support us mentally through the pressure-filled moments.”

This one focuses on synching your heart and brain together, which helps you release stress and boost your energetic vibration. When you’re in a coherent state, all your body’s systems work together in harmony and ease.
You’ll focus on breathing slowly and deeply through your heart and then turn your attention to activating a higher vibrational frequency through which you experience peace and an increased ability to manifest positive feelings and effects.
