Ladies and concubines, we are back with another Wine Cellar Edition!
We’re talking about a badass, battle axe swinging, queen of our hearts and goddess of War: Queen Nzinga of Ndongo and Matamba.
We discuss her upbringing and rise to power through some pretty harsh means... but at the end of the day, men suck and sometimes you need to be a badass to get shit done.
In all seriousness, Nzinga left a lasting legacy, one of which the impacts are still felt today.
Also, we discuss the upcoming STARZ adaption of her life, starring Yetide Badaki and 50 cent. Don’t fuck with a fearless woman who owns a battle axe.

Welcome back to our review of Outlander; if you missed our earlier episode go back and listen to Part 1 which covers seasons 1-3. Barb and Sam draw to a conclusion regarding Brianna's rightful accent, our disdain for Roger and penicillin. Also, how is it fair that Jamie ages with a pair of spectacles and they go full granny with Claire? We call for justice! Additionally we discuss a few fan theories regarding time travel, Jamie's ominous ghost from season 1, and our predictions (and anticipations) for season 6.

Coconut heads and lore? you guessed it... check!
We debate our feelings about Frank while giving the highest respect to Tobias Menzies with his fantastic portrayal of Black Jack Randall and Frank Randall. And of course, we can't forget about Laoghaire!
stay tuned for Part 2 which will cover Season 4 and 5 and discuss time travel and Jamie's ominous ghost.

Do murder, mayhem, and torture devices strike your fancy? If so, ya nasty! Check out our newest episode of The Wine Cellar as we talk about the woman responsible for vampire hysteria and Hungary's most notable serial killer, Elizabeth Bathory. Was she indeed the cold-blooded murderer history deems her to be? Or did she have other motives for her notorious body count? Your hosts dissect the evidence against her, discuss her challenges as an adolescent, drive home the consequences and repercussions of incest while dabbling with a little midnight sexy time alongside the devil. This one is a doozy so... TRIGGER WARNING, it gets pretty graphic (as we are talking about torture and murder).

What we do know is the girl can’t read the signs. God Bless her though for trying to fight against them damn Tudors!
