Jesus has always desired to have intimacy with us that goes beyond our church attendance. The Bible is Jesus in print and the opportunity has been given to us to know Him deeper through it. Since Jesus had died, resurrected, and been glorified we have to make a choice daily to live towards the cross or from the cross. Without a revelation of the power of the blood of Jesus, falling into self-righteousness could be quite easy. Living towards the cross is constantly being aware of your mistakes, so you try to hold back. But living from the cross is a place of true freedom because of the understanding of who we are.
