God had plans for Israel that were good and not evil. However, it would be after seventy years of captivity "when" those plans would begin to unfold. God's timing is perfect even if it seems inconvenient to us.

In stewardship it is important to remember a major reason for our blessings is to be a blessing. Normally, before we give what we have, we give who we are unto the Lord.

The Apostle Paul basically underscores the idea that our thoughts affect our walk. He then gives a sample list of things we ought to avoid.

In one setting, David went from not being greatly moved to not being moved. What caused this change in just a course of a few verses? I believe he shared it in between the two statements. David knew his expectation was from the Lord.

The roles of the five-fold ministry all use one common thing... the word. It is through their use of the word that the saints are perfected or equipped. Then the saints function in their work of the ministry. Then by them doing so, the body is edified or promoted for growth.

While some areas of our life may be able to be altered or reformed, there are other items that must die. One of the things that must be killed daily is our flesh. Scripture tells us that the flesh is not profitable.

The list can be long of the things we ought to commit to. However, if we will commit to surrender or servanthood, all those other items will follow.
