1. Without prayer, the enemy slips in on you.

2. Without prayer, you’ll end up making a mess.

3. Without prayer, you’ll miss what God is doing.

4. Without prayer, you’ll end up out of control.

1. Prayer is an act of denying self.

2. Prayer should be proactive, not just reactive.

3. Prayer should always be about aligning ourselves with God’s purposes.

4. Prayer is where true strength is found.
- “Then an angel appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him.” - Luke 22:43

5. Jesus prays for you.

- “Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat.But I have prayed for you that your faith should not fail.” - Luke 22:31-32a

- “It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God,
who also makes intercession for us.” - Romans 8:34

1. Christian serving is an act of denying self.

2. Christian serving requires knowing who you are and to Whom you belong.

3. Christian serving expects nothing in return.

4. Christian serving promotes unity in the church.

5. Christian serving glorifies Christ.

1. Stop acting like chaff, and start being firmly planted trees.

2. Stop using Sodom and Gomorrah, and start using the parable of the Good Samaritan.

3. Stop telling part of the story of Jesus, and start telling the whole story of Jesus.

4. Stop expecting the government to be the church, and start being the church.

5. Stop getting caught up in today’s headlines, and start asking questions and listening.

6. Stop acting like chaff, and start being firmly planted trees.

1. Giving up your rights promotes unity.

2. Giving up your rights provides you a hearing before the world.

“Give no offense, either to the Jews or to the Greeks or to the church of God, just as I also please all men in all things, not seeking my own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved.” - 1 Corinthians 10:32-33

3. Giving up your rights promotes the growth of weaker believers.

4. Giving up your rights glorifies Christ.

5. Giving up your rights protects your heart from the enemy.

And behold, two men talked with Him, who were Moses and Elijah, who appeared in glory and spoke of His decease which He was about to accomplish at Jerusalem. - Luke 9:30-31

The LORD your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your midst, from your brethren. Him you shall hear. - Deuteronomy 18:15

1. Jesus is God in human flesh.
2. Jesus is the fulfillment of the law and the prophets.
3. Jesus came to die and be resurrected to free us from our slavery to sin.
4. Jesus is the only way to God.
5. Jesus will return.

1. The church is an assembly of those who see.

2. The church’s mission is to help others see.

1. Take a break from social media. - 1 Corinthians 10:14

2. Take care of the (your) temple. - 1 Corinthians 6:19-20

3. If there is unconfessed sin in your life, confess it. - “When I kept silent, my bones grew old through my groaning all the day long.
For day and night, Your hand was heavy upon me; my vitality was turned into the drought of summer. Selah
I acknowledged my sin to You, and my iniquity I have not hidden. I said, ‘I will confess my transgressions to the LORD,’ and You forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah” - Psalm 32:3-5

4. Talk to someone who is strong in the faith. - Galatians 6:2

5. Draw close to God and get to know Him better. - Ephesians 3:19

6. Trust God and enjoy today. - Matthew 6:33-34
