A blueprint isn't worth the paper it was printed on if it's not trustworthy. The same can be said for the Bible. After all, what's the point of a life centered around Jesus if you can't trust what the Bible says about Him? This weekend we share some thoughts and facts about this ancient book and why it can serve as a sturdy foundation for living.

You see one in most hotel rooms. Some people use theirs as paperweights. Others press flowers in theirs. And some actually read it. We’re talking about the Bible. No matter what you believe, most people have run across the Bible in some way. So what is it about this book that makes it unlike any book ever written? Is it really a book inspired by God or just a bunch of outdated stories written by people a long time ago? Is it even possible to trust what it says? This weekend we launch part 2 of our series with a look at the Bible and why it is still regarded as the blueprint for understanding where we all came from, who we are, why we matter, and where all of this is going.

When it comes to hope in the midst of struggle, what or who we put our hope into says a lot about us. Of course, since this is church you already know who we'd suggest (psst... it's Jesus). This weekend we learn why this is bigger than it seems and what it means for all of us.

Some of the biggest battles we fight aren't against others, but against ourselves. The battles we combat in our own head and heart. Our enemy will invade our thoughts and try to accuse, belittle, and provoke us - and if we don't approach the fight in the right way, he can crush our spirit and derail our lives. So how do we defeat our enemies when they seem so much bigger and stronger than us? What is the right way to fight? As we set goals and pursue our dreams, we pray for God to give us chances to grow and increase in our gifts - make the team, get the promotion, become better at what we do. We can trust in the power of prayer, but there is more than just asking God to use the talents He's put inside us.
