We continue our series on the Road to Victory and we discover this week that after Jesus rose from the dead, He encountered His disciples hiding in a room for fear of the Jews. His physical presence brought them peace; all except Thomas. Thomas wasn't there with them and as a result, his faith was still uneasy and needed to find substance. Eight days later, he would find just what his heart needed to truly believe. What is it that you need to put your faith in Jesus?

It's Resurrection Sunday and John is bringing us a message that begins in the dark of night in the garden where Jesus was buried. Mary Magdalene discovers that Jesus' tomb is empty and she quickly goes and tells Peter and John, who discover more than just an empty tomb. But Mary lingers and has an encounter that would change her life completely. If we examine the empty tomb, we'll also be changed because of what we encounter.

It's Thursday night and Jesus, along with His disciples make their way to the Mount of Olives where Jesus will spend some time at Gethsemane in prayer before He's taken away to the injustices of the Jewish court who wishes to see Him put to death. Finally, He is led away to Golgotha, the place of the skull, where He is crucified. By the end, we'll see that Jesus death was just the beginning of your freedom.

The sixth sermon in our series brings us to a table in an upper room in Jerusalem where Jesus takes the Passover meal and transforms it into a new covenant in His blood. Yet, in the midst of all the grace there was a shadow of betrayal residing at the table in the man, Judas. And that shadow still appears in the lives of many of us who have been invited to the table of grace, as well. The wonderful news is that His grace is sufficient for all.,

As the cross approaches, the temperature is beginning to change in the attitudes of those around Jesus. Some seek to silence Him, others betray Him, but one woman seeks to worship Him with everything she possesses. When the flask breaks and the ointment is poured out, hearts are exposed. What is it that you value most? Are you willing to surrender to to Jesus?

John brings us another message concerning Jesus' final week before the cross. In our story, we find Jesus in the Temple of Jerusalem being confronted by a wave of Jewish leaders; the Pharisees, Herodian, Sadducees, and the Lawyers team up to argue the case of authority. Who gave Jesus the authority to disrupt their system in the Temple? That question is loaded and eventually backfires on them, as Jesus turns the tables once again, this time figuratively. The question that remains is one for us: Whose authority are we living under? God's or mans?

John brings us another sermon from out Road to Victory series. Today, we spend some time in Mark 11 where we discover Jesus is a bit hangry on his way into Jerusalem. The fig tree He encounters is deceptive and doesn't bear fruit much like the Temple was deceptive in its holiness. If we are to be disciples of Christ, we must bear fruit as we can't put on a facade, we must have depth to our faith.

John brings us a message from Matthew 24-25 where we learn that Christ's return in certain, but its timing is unknown. As disciples, we're called to watch faithfully, serve actively, and love sacrificially, until He comes.

In this new sermon series, The Road to Victory, we'll look at the final week of Jesus leading up to the cross and beyond, including His resurrection and post-resurrection appearances. This first sermon is focused on His triumphal entry into Jerusalem amid the misunderstandings of His establishing His kingdom.

Our final sermon sermon in our series, "Bedrock Faith." In this message, John takes a look at man's longing for something more than where he is. Ecclesiastes 3:11 tells us the reason behind that is because God "has put eternity into man's heart." So, we'll examine not only that longing but what the reality is of life after death: heaven or hell and God's merciful response to eternity.
