Jesus, who was in the very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to His own advantage. Instead, He made Himself nothing, taking on the very nature of a servant. He put our salvation before His comfort. Let's strive to be more like Jesus by putting others first. Let's strive to serve rather than be served. Let's remind one another of the humble, servant-hearted example of Jesus.

What is your source of strength? Who or what are you looking for to heal you, restore you, and provide you with hope? What darkness do you need strength to battle? Our understanding of darkness determines the source of light that we need. Jesus is our light and might. But He is a different kind of unexpected might. He is our Mighty God, a perfect gift that provides us with hope.
