As we conclude our series from Exodus, the people of Israel are faced with a big, external attack from the Amalekites. It stopped their internal grumbling and focused them on the real battle. The story offers guidance for us today, too.

The people of Israel complained. God had led them to a place, but they didn’t feel safe and they didn’t know what would happen next. People today complain, too, for similar reasons. It’s contagious. It’s destructive. And it can wreck our trust in God.
