First Issues NOW!

The biggest takeaway here is that I really think I need to check out that Netflix He-Man show finally.

MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE: ANDRA #1, written by Tiffany Smith, art by Andriana Melo, colors by Giuliano Peratelli, with letters by Andworld Design.

Newly-moral immortals have to fight off other immortals. That's actually pretty cool.

KILL ALL IMMORTALS II #1, written by Zack Kaplan, illustrated by Fico Ossio, colors by Thiago Rocha, with letters by Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou.

A writer with a trans kid and a penchant for cheating gets hired to reboot a young adult fantasy series complete with a tradcon bigoted current writer. Neat.

THE AUTHOR IMMORTAL #1, written by Frank J. Barbiere, art by Morgan Beem, with letters by Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou.

So... Sammi decided she wanted to read the youngling book... I don't know how stoned she was when she chose it but hey, she liked it so that says something.

Of course, there's a Heritage Month on so that means we'll get some random specials from characters that only get pulled out when that happens. What's even more annoying is that this is REALLY good and showcases why with a good creative team, even a c-lister like White Tiger could have a good ongoing or at least hold her own in a miniseries.

“Reborn” written by Daniel Jose Older, art by Bruno Abdias, colors by Marcelo Costa, with letters by Arianna Maher.

“Song of the Coqui” written by Cynthia Pelayo, art by Moises Hidalgo, colors by Dono Sanchez-Almara, with letters by Arianna Mayer.

This is a very bad Spider-Man Noir book. It is, however, the best Peter Parker Spider-Man book I've read in years. Go figure.

SPIDER-MAN NOIR #1, written by Erik Larsen, art by Andrea Broccardo, colors by Rachelle Rosenberg, with letters by Joe Sabino.

Well, there's another reprint from X-Men From the Ashes, but at least one of them is really a good one-off story. Yes, obviously its the one with Beak.

REPRINTED FROM X-MEN FROM THE ASHES #19-25.

Well we're just right out the gate having Jed MacKay make me take back a lot of my snark huh? That's always a good thing.

X-MEN: AGE OF REVELATION OVERTURE #1, written by Jed MacKay, pencils by Ryan Stegman, inks by J.P. Mayer, colors by Edgar Delgado, with letters by Clayton Cowles.

Apparently this is the prologue for DC KO and... I have questions but ultimately had fun reading it.

JUSTICE LEAGUE: THE OMEGA ACT SPECIAL #1, written by Joshua Williamson, art by Cian Tormey, colors by Yasmine Putrie, with letters by Dave Sharpe.

The Absolute Universe has been brilliant and this issue adds a great depth to the upcoming trials for the heroes in a world of evil.

ABSOLUTE EVIL #1, written by Al Ewing, pencils by Giuseppe Camuncoli, inks by Stefano Nesi, colors by Romulo Fajardo Jr., with letters by Tom Napolitano.
