Heaven is sometimes depicted as a place where we play harps endlessly on clouds. But the Biblical reality of heaven is so much greater and joy-filled than we can imagine because we get to be with God fully. Let's explore the FUTURE hope of the new heaven and new earth and why it matters so much NOW.

Hell. Judgement. Death. Accountability. These are uncomfortable topics. How should we think about them according to God's Word? Is it possible that these themes are good news, including hell? In this passage, God shows us why the reality of hell is both good news and sobering news.

The marriage supper (feast) of the lamb is the time when God’s people are united with him back in its perfect created purpose. This reunion is the hope of Christians. Revelation 19 gives us a glimpse once again of how this hope is provided and gives us a sense of what happens when this hope is declined. It leads all to ask: Where does my hope come from and where does it lead?

Babylon, also known as the world and its system, is attractive and seductive to all of us, drawing us away from Jesus. Yet Revelation chapter 18 warns us not to get caught up in Babylon because God will judge it one day. How do we discern if we are living for Babylon now rather than Jesus? How do we know when we are compromising our relationship with Jesus for Babylon? How do we live and thrive for Jesus in our Babylonian culture? May the Holy Spirit give us wisdom and hope through Revelation 18 to answer these questions.

The world looks so seductive and beautiful, but this passage reminds us to not be duped by the world and its values.If you are a follower of Jesus, you are engaged to Jesus, your Savior and Lord. Let's find out why we should endure for Jesus while living in Babylon.
